(I'll let yk when to play the song)

"Y/n! Come out! Now! You've been in there forever!" Ashley yelled to me from the other side of my bathroom door. I took another look in the full body mirror at my figure. The dress fit me nicely, and it worked well with the pearl necklace Ashley had gifted me. The black gloves were doing the whole outfit a justice. I finally unlocked the door and met Ashley on the other side. She had her dark red hair all done up in 50s style waves, and the white contrasted nicely with her hair dye. I decided to leave my hair down, because putting it up annoyed me. I had let Ashley do my makeup before putting on the outfit.
"So what do you think?" I asked, waiting for approval. She was covering her mouth with her hand.
"Drop. dead. Gorgeous!" She put her arms out to hug me, I accepted her embrace. "Guys are going to be all over you wanting to buy you drinks you know, forget that Gaege fellow, you could have anybody you want in that dress." That made me feel a little more hopeful, but not for meeting the convenient store stranger once more. Wishful thinking.
The clock read 10 o clock. It was an hour later then when we had planned on leaving, but taking our time was most important. All I really wanted to do was get drunk, dance, and have fun.

We had decided to take an Uber, seeing as though neither of us wanted to drive in our attire.
We were dropped off quickly right at the entrance of the club. It looked very old fashioned and was nicely lit up in the night. Ashley had gestured me to follow her to the line of people waiting to get in past the bouncer. The line surprisingly didn't take as long as I had thought it would, Ashley was busy talking about the amount of detail that she had read on this place, I didn't even get a chance to pull out my ID in time. We showed the bouncer our drivers licenses and he motioned for us to go inside.
Upon entrance of the building, already you could hear the club music coming from the room ahead. The lobby had a beautiful red carpet floor and wall sconces around the entire room. This was the place you'd go to get to the bathrooms, and to sit away from the noise of the party. Ashley had immediately led us both to the club room.
Immediately the room had darkened with neon strobe lights dancing around the room with the people. The music had blasted in my ears and caught me by surprise. I wasn't exactly hating the setting, it felt somewhat exciting. I clutched my favorite black crossbody bag while shuffling across the floor to find the bar with Ashley. Everyone had looked so elegant and eye catching, I felt like I had finally fit in somewhere. Apart of everyone else.
Me and Ashley had finally reached the bar and the two bartenders tending the bar seemed incredibly busy, so I'd be waiting here a bit. I didn't mind the wait, I wasn't intoxicated enough to go dance anyway.
"Hey can you get me a margarita? Any kind I don't care, I'm gonna go dance." Ashley asked me, swiftly escaping to the dance floor.
"No problem," I said under my breath. She couldn't hear me even if I had called out to her. I sat down at a bar stool, setting my bag in my lap and taking off my long gloves. I rest my arms on the bar, waiting to order.
I was sitting on the very right side of the bar, when I noticed a group of guys one by one gathered around at the complete opposite end of me. There seemed to be about five of them. I didn't want to be self conscious in thinking that they were avoiding me, but I couldn't help it. I decided to shrug it off. The bar tender finally came to me and asked me what I would like in a polite, but exhausted voice. I felt bad for her, I know how it feels.
"Can I get a sea breeze? And a margarita for my friend please." I asked nicely.
"Yes of course, coming right up."
"I appreciate it," I smiled at her as she went to go the those ready for me. I couldn't help but notice the group of guys again, as they were getting hammered and goofing around. Two of them seemed to be accompanied by their girlfriends. One of them started walking around the bar towards me and I started to panic.
"Hey, I hope I'm not out of place here, but you look so great, like your dress is amazing to look at." She said, taking a seat next to me. I was relieved she wasn't bashing me for accidentally staring. It seems to be a habit now. She was wearing a beautiful lavender dress which had a frilly bottom, and frilly sleeves. The lavender complimented the silver color of her hair. It was a dye, because she looked young, and her roots were coming in.
"Thank you so much, you're a sweetheart." I smiled at her.
"No problem, you don't mind if I sit here right?"
"No I don't mind at all, I'm just waiting on drinks."
"Me too, my husband over there is goofing off with his friends, so I'd figure I'd come compliment you and try to make a new one?"
"A new what?"
"A new friend." She smiled at me. I smiled back.
"Oh yeah, duh. So which one is your husband?" I looked back over at the group of guys. She tried pointing to him, I had to get closer to her shoulder for accuracy.
"The one with the black ponytail, smiling like he's having the time of his life. His name is Eddie." She smiled while looking at him, I could tell she was truly in love with him. Her husband was talking to a man in a white button down, with a black suit vest. I could tell they were friends.
"I'm Gabby by the way, hi" it seemed like the smile on her face was never ending.
"I'm y/n, you know you're really nice."
"I try my best, it's best to be kind rather than nasty to everyone."
"That's a really good way of thinking." I complimented her again. "So who's everyone over there?" I pointed to the group of his friends. She began to point again, which caught the attention of one of them. One man looked directly at me. My heart immediately started beating faster. I was forced to look away.
"Well there's Eddie, and the rest of those guys are Gaege, Grant, Mully, and Josh."
Gaege?
My breath got caught in my throat once more and my mind started to race. It probably wasn't him, but what if it was.
Two of the guys came over to us, and they both stopped behind Gabby, one being her husband. He kissed her cheek from behind and rubbed her shoulders, comforting her. I kept my eyes down on the tabletop of the bar, fidgeting with my fingers. I felt the eyes of the second guy on me. I couldn't help but glance over.
It was him! The convenient store stranger!
His hair was still the same shaggy that I remember, but he was wearing that white button down and black suit vest. He also had nice looking black dress pants that had his white button down tucked in with a black belt. His sleeves were rolled up. Same tattoos, same chain bracelet. I noticed he was examining my tattoos with a confused look as if he remembered them from somewhere. I decided to jog his memory.
"You like them?" I asked him the same question he had asked me at the store. His face instantly lit up, smiling from ear to ear.
"You're the store girl!" He said to me, with excitement in his voice.
"That's me," I smiled back at him.
"Holy- you look- wow..." he struggled with his words. I could sense a compliment somewhere in his head.
"I look...?" I helped him along.
"You look different from last night."
"Well yeah I was in my pajamas," I laughed slightly to myself.
"Well you look really nice." He complimented me. I felt my face get hot.
The drinks I ordered had finally come to me, and I was eager to take a sip of my sea breeze due to the situation I was in. I felt nervous as hell, and all I could think about was the way my stomach felt like it was dropping. Like I was going down from a peak on a rollercoaster. The bar tender had hold me the price of the drinks, and I began to reach into my bag for my wallet. I had brought cash with me this time, seeing as though I've got nothing on my card. Gaege stopped me, pulling out his wallet instead.
"Hey I can't let you pay for me twice, you're way too nice." My smile seemed to be glued to my face. "Plus, the margarita is for my friend out there." I pointed towards the dance floor.
"Well at least let me pay for your drink, a guy always has to cover a pretty girl's drink," he said, handing money to the bartender. I did the same, paying for Ashley's drink.
"Do you buy every pretty girl a drink?"
"No, just the ones that catch my eye." It was sentence after sentence that this guy was trying to flatter me. It's like he knew what he was doing to me.
"I'm sorry, but I don't go home with guys in these kinds of scenes." I had to break it to him.
"I'm not trying to take you home, just trying to get to know you a little better. You seem like a great person," he went to the other side of me, leaning against the bar. I felt bad there wasn't a place for him to sit down.
"And maybe I could ask you to dance?" My lips pressed together to hold back my excitement. I've never been asked to dance before, of course I wanted to, but I didn't want to seem too eager. I took another sip of my sea breeze before answering.
"I would love to, but I need to watch these drinks, at least until my friend comes back."
"What's your friends name?"
"Ashley, she's the one with the white dress and dark red hair over there having the time of her life." I pointed her out.
"Why arn't you out there also having the time of your life?" He asked me.
"I don't have enough alcohol in my system," I joked with him. He let out a little breathy laugh. I noticed Ashely looking over at me, and I pointed at her drink. She instantly left the scene to approach us. She looked defensive when she saw Gaege.
"Hey is this guy giving you trouble?" She asked me, sliding her drink towards her. Gaege put his hands up in defense.
"No not at all, Ashley, this is Gaege, the guy I told you about earlier today." Her face lit up.
"Oh my god! Gaege, hi! It really is a small world." Gaege put his hands down.
"I was just asking your friend here if she wanted to dance," he said to Ashley. Ashley immediately turned to me.
"Bitch go dance! I'll watch drinks, and your bag, give." She held her hand out. I sighed and got out of the bar stool, lifting my bag off from around my neck, stuffing my gloves in it. Gaege had a face of satisfaction. Ashley was thrilled. Both of them knew that they had won.
"Shall we?" Gaege asked me, holding his hand out to take mine. The music instantly shifted to 'Use me' by Makk Mikkael as I placed my hand in his. (Play the song, optional) He led me out to the dance floor in the middle of the crowd. I had no idea what I was doing, but it felt natural.
He spun me around, and pulled me back in to the rhythm of the song, placing his hands on my waist like a perfect fit. That same stomach drop feeling returned. I lifted my arms up and hooked them around him behind his neck, as we slow danced to the song. As if right now, we were dancing as acquaintances, not as lovers. But all I could do was look up at him into his leafy green eyes as he looked down into mine. I was so caught up in the moment, I couldn't even think about anything else. I felt like he was looking down at me with the same admiration as I gave him, but who could be sure. I wish this could last forever.
