Alastor led the way to the Vees Tower. I wonder why I'm the one leading. I'm sure Angel knows very well where the Vees Tower is. He thought to himself. He glanced back towards the spider, who was loading his Tommy gun with angelic bullets as they walked. Lucifer must know where it is. He's the king of Hell. He could lead. Or Vaggie, or Husker, or any of these fools. Why am I leading?
They turned a corner onto a busy street, and Alastor watched as the nearby civilians fled away from him in fear. Gasps and screams filled the air, and he smiled wider at the panic he had inflicted. Always the same, wherever I go. His smile faded slightly when he realized that most likely these people were more scared of Lucifer, who was close behind him.
Ignoring that thought, his mind drifted back to the place he was leading them to. I am not afraid. I have nothing to be afraid of. He told himself silently as he walked on, his hands behind his back and his smile as prominent as ever. However, he couldn't ignore the twinge of uncertainty building in his chest. I suppose I am slightly uncomfortable leading my comrades to my former business partner's office.
That's all we were.
Business partners.
To me at least.
Alastor continued walking, leading the group around another corner. He looked over his shoulder to make sure they were all there.
Angel was talking to Cherri, looking the most serious Alastor had ever seen him. Husk was close behind them, his arm around Vaggie, who was still considerably upset. Alastor couldn't hear what they were talking about. Niffty scuttled around the group, weaving in between their feet. Lucifer was right behind Alastor, with a solemn expression on his face, fidgeting with his cane.
Seeing Lucifer with his cane made Alastor aware of his own cane's absence. He hadn't been feeling much like himself since Adam had broken it in battle. True, before they had left the Hotel, Adam had offered Alastor a new angelic weapon, but he had refused. He was slightly regretting it, as he didn't know what to do with his hands now.
He folded them behind his back, then let them swing at his sides. Eventually, he reached up to his shirt pocket and pulled out the Vees' poison dart. He had asked Lucifer if he could keep it, though he wasn't sure why. Maybe as a reminder of why he was there. Vox brought harm to someone I...am responsible for, He thought silently as he walked. I am going to make him suffer if it's the last thing I do.
With this new affirmation, he marched faster, calling over his shoulder to the others. "Come on now, pick up those feet! We're almost there!"

When they approached the Vees tower, the group huddled up. Each one had a brand new angelic weapon, courtesy of Adam. Alastor wondered what he was doing back at the hotel. He can't leave without my say-so. He thought with a twinge of satisfaction.
Lucifer spoke, loud enough for them all to hear him, but quiet enough that passersby didn't pay much attention. "Alright. This is it." He spun his cane in one hand and the duck ignited, sparking into fire. Holding his newborn flaming spear, he addressed the others once more. "I can't kill them, but I can sure as hell hurt them. As for the rest of you, go crazy." There was a mischievous glint in his eye as he spoke, and Niffty giggled wildly and saluted him.
Lucifer turned away from them and faced the tower. He pointed his now flaming cane towards the building. Alastor could see the fire reflected in his eyes. "Let's go fuck them." The King of Hell growled. Angel whispered something to him. "Up." Lucifer amended. "Fuck them up."
"LETS GO!" Cherri yelled. Without hesitation, she charged towards the tower, pulling a bomb from her pocket and hurling it at the door. There was a loud BANG and smoke spread rapidly. When it cleared, there was a gaping hole in the wall, revealing several porn actors, who looked confused.
