A Hero's Weakness

Chapter 10: All Ends Well

Goku and Nimbus were back on Earth. Kami nodded at Goku, and he nodded back.

He leaned down, and placed the soul into ChiChi. Nimbus and Roshi watched. "So that form..?" Roshi questioned. Kami just shrugged, "You said you'd believe him if he turned into a Super Saiyan."

Roshi scoffed, "That was about 4 years ago!"

Goku watched as ChiChi's skin tanned and she fluttered her eyes open. She sat up, looking around, "I-I'm alive..?" Goku hugged her, "ChiChi! You're back!"

ChiChi was startled by the hug, but immediately hugged him back. "Oh–Oh Goku! Y-You did all of that..for me." She felt herself tear up.

"Of course," Goku backed away from her, "Someone told me people do crazy things when they're in love.." He smiled at her. Her face went red but she smiled back.

Roshi went up to Goku, "Don't forget about me." Goku turned to Roshi, "Oh my–Master Roshi!" Goku gave him a hug as well, "I'm sorry for how I acted earlier."

Roshi patted his back, "I forgive you. I guess I owe her an apology too." He looked back at ChiChi, who gave a small smile.

"Okay guys, it's about time you head back down. It was nice having you guys up here." Kami says, walking up to them. Nimbus neighed, and put Goku, ChiChi, and Roshi on his back.

Mr. Popo and Kami waved, "We'll see you guys again!" Mr. Popo waved. Goku smiled, and tapped Nimbus with his foot, "I bet we will. C'mon Nimbus! Let's go to West City!"

Nimbus neighed once more, and they all headed down back to West City.

Kami watched and smiled, "I'm proud of that kid." Mr. Popo nodded in agreement, "He has a good heart, my lord."

The four all landed in West City. Goku hopped off Nimbus, and so did Roshi. ChiChi was still trying to get herself ready after flying down from such a high place.

Goku was crowded by people. Everyone was calling him a hero. He was their hero. He felt as if he belonged.

"You're amazing Goku! Saving us from those demon freaks!" Yamcha says, clapping obnoxiously. "Yeah! If I ever need a savior, I'm calling you!" Chiaotzu smiles.

Goku nodded, "Thanks!" Goku was lifted in the air, as people began chanting. Roshi cheered, "Let's go! That's my boy!"

ChiChi was still on Nimbus, "Huh, Goku would be an awesome hero, don't you think?" She sighed. Nimbus nodded in agreement.

She hopped off of Nimbus, and began to make her way back home.

Goku was enjoying the cheers, but looked and saw ChiChi walking away. "W-Wait..!" He was put down, and ran up to ChiChi before she could get any farther.

"ChiChi! Where're you going?" Goku asks her. She held his cheek, and smiled sadly, "Back to Mountain Paozu. You'll be an awesome hero, Goku. I'm glad I met you."

Goku shook his head, and picked her up bridal style, "You're not going anywhere. Without you, I wouldn't be here now. So that makes you a hero too."

ChiChi wrapped her arms around his neck, and smiled, "To a point, I guess."

Goku smiled, and rubbed his nose against hers. ChiChi giggled, and then held his cheeks with both of her hands.

They both stared at each other, before ChiChi leaned in and gave him a kiss. Goku was startled, but he kissed back. She wrapped her arms around him again.

The crowd cheered for the two as they kissed.

Once ChiChi backed away, Goku's face was red, but he chuckled sheepishly.
