Calla Lily

Chapter 7

Everyone was yelling, total chaos surrounded her. Calla wasn't sure what all was being yelled but when Fury and the Captain went off on Tony, she hexed them both. Of course, Romanoff and Fury pissed off the sweet and docile Dr. Banner. When he told them of how he had tried to kill himself, Calla wanted to cry. 

"Dr. Banner, step away from the scepter" Fury called out. No one had even seen him move towards it.

Once it was all quiet, Calla smiled at an uncomfortable Fury and Captain, "Once you apologize to my brother and actually mean it, the burning will stop". Both men looked embarrassed but Tony laughed. 

The Captain looked between the siblings, "I didn't know Howard had a daughter".

Calla scoffed, "I was the unwanted child. Tony raised me" before anything else could be said, the monitor beeped and Bruce tried to call out a warning.

The room exploded around them. Calla shielded herself and Tony. The floor collapsed and she was barely pulled herself up. Tony checked her over.

"Are you okay Bunny" Tony asked frantic.

Calla nodded, "Yeah, I'm good. Go, I'll check on Loki".

Tony hesitated but took off. The Captain stared after him then looked back to Calla, "You sure you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm going to make sure Loki hasn't slipped back under" Calla told him, running off and leaving a confused Captain behind.

The ship was a mess, Calla had to jump over large debris in the halls. When she finally made it to the cell, Loki was gone and Agent Coulson was bleeding out.

"Damnit Phil" she ran over, checking his wound.

"Calla, sorry about the agents" Coulson gasped, "that followed you"

She smiled smally, "You're not dying today, but thank you" waving her hand, she can tell he's slipping but she pulls him back and mends the wound. When she's finished, she looks up at a wide eyed Phil, "Told ya".

Coulson feels where his wound was, "How" he asks.

"You're a good man Phil. I couldn't let you have peace just yet" Calla tells him just as Fury runs in.

"Medics are coming" Fury tells Phil.

Looking to Calla who shakes her head, he looks back to Fury. "Thanks, I thought he got me worse than he did"

Calla walks up to her brother, "What now"

Tony wraps her in a hug, "We need to find Loki and get his head right. The others need to listen to us too".

Fury stomps in, trying to disguise his irritation from the burning. Calla and Tony smirked at him. Fury looks over those left, "Thor and Banner are missing, Agent Coulson is lucky to be alive. I had hoped you would all be a part of what is called the Avengers Initiative. Seems that's down the drain now"

Calla scoffs, glaring at Fury she says "Are you really trying to guilt trip them? Man, I didn't think you could sink any lower." Fury glares at her, "How about you let us handle this since it seems you're shit at it".

Romanoff and the Captain watch Calla walk away. Tony laughs, "What she said" and with that he follows his sister out.

The Captain enters where Tony's working on his suit, "Where do you think Loki could be"

"He wants the attention, a stage with his name in the sky" Tony trails off, "Shit, I know where he is"
