Carl's POV, a couple days prior
Our group enters the gates of the Kingdom. The sound of children laughing and music playing fills our ears as we slowly make our way inside. Surprisingly, we find Daryl there, along with Morgan.
After we meet with the king and attempt to get him to help us defeat the Saviours, we have a chat with Daryl.
"(y/n) left right after me n Jesus. But I didn't see her at Hilltop, and she's not here either. At least not yet." he says solemnly. "I don't know if she got out..." I stay silent, my mind racing as I think through the worst possible scenarios. Dad places a firm hand on my shoulder.
"Hey, don't worry. Maybe Daryl just missed her, or she's just still on her way. But you know (y/n) better than anyone else."
"Yeah, but it doesn't matter how smart or tough or strong she is. If they caught her, they won't hold back. She doesn't have any second chances left with them." I shake my head as I walk onto the empty RV, cursing myself for not saving her when I had the chance.
A few days later
Simon pulls into the gates of Alexandria with a few other truckloads of men. Everyone gathers around, waiting to see what's going on.
"We thought we'd have more time." my dad says to Simon as he approaches.
"You think we're here for a pick up? Nah. We just want Daryl and (y/n). So where are they?" he asks pointedly. Dad looks around for a moment.
"Negan took them." Simon chuckles at my dad.
"Yeah, and then your boy payed us a visit, and now they're gone. Is that just a coincidence?"
"It must be because, they aren't here." Simon smirks.
"Alright then. Everybody grab a buddy. We're gonna go around and have ourselves a little treasure hunt. Whoever find the girl and the gremlin gets a cookie!" Simon sharply announces, and the group disburses, heading all over town. I start to walk back home, when I'm grabbed by my collar and ripped backwards.
"How about you give me a little room tour, eh kid?" Simon grumbles in my ear. I roll my eyes and continue home, leading him to my bedroom.
I stand in the middle of my room, arms crossed, allowing Simon to search around for himself. He picks up some of my belongings, tosses them over his shoulder, and continues. I watch him intently as he looks through, my dresser drawers like a search dog at the airport. I look away from Simon for a second when I hear a loud crash come from downstairs. I almost go to inspect it, until I hear Simon whistle in amazement. When I turn around, he's holding up one of (y/n)'s bras that she had left behind the last time she slept over. My face turns red with both anger and embarrassment.
"Look what we have here. Buried at the bottom of the drawer. You been saving this for any reason?" he asks as he examines it, even takes a whiff of it. I control my anger, balling my fists by my sides.
"To give it back to her when she gets home." I say plainly in order to not throw out too much attitude.
"Mmm. If she comes home you mean.", he pauses a moment to chuckle,"Really though, it's a nice bra...real nice..." he stands up now, still holding it in his hands. "You probably get a lot of use outta this. Anytime you're lonely, just pull it out, lay in bed and crank one out-" I interrupt him, unable to listen to him go on.
"Stop! Just stop! You're disgusting I would never-" He cuts me off this time, inching closer to me now.
"Oh well, if you aren't using it then, you won't mind if I take it with me, will you? It'd be a real nice souvenir." he says as his mouth turns up into a smug smile. My face burns with anger now, thinking about what's going on in his sick twisted mind as he holds (y/n)'s bra. He nods, taking my silence as permission, and slides the bra into his cargo pant pocket, buttoning the top as he stares at me, still giving me a crooked smile.
