Lord of Octagram - Tensura/That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime x Mha/Bnha

Chapter 1 - The Feral Beast

A/N: I wrote this ff a couple of years back, when I was in my Tensura phase. The fanfiction is about Izuku having Rimuru's powers as his quirk. The plot includes 'Octagram' as a group, but here it is not the organization of Demon Lords. Heck, the Demon Lords don't even exist in this book as they are too op. (Spoilers) Octagram includes eight members who serve Izuku. The members are from both Tensura and Mha. The story also has a major spoiler from the web novel, but if you're a Tensura fan and are watching its YouTube Shorts, you probably know about it so it wouldn't be that much of a shock. Anyways, I sincerely hope you enjoy this as much as I did while writing it.

A hero... a person who saves others... that was the sort of person Izuku aspired to be. But how could he save others if he couldn't even save himself. Standing in front of him was a huge wolf, growling with evident hostility. He couldn't move. It seemed as if he would be shredded into bits the moment he budged even an inch. Izuku knew he could regenerate to some extent, but he didn't want to test its limits. The only way to survive was to calmly assess the situation.

The wolf was badly wounded. It was enormous; way bigger than any normal wolf. It had a horn on its forehead, possibly due to some sort of quirk or as a result of illegal experimentation. If things resulted in a head on fight, Izuku wasn't sure if he could survive. The wolf was injured, but it was still faster than Izuku. In terms of strength too, the wolf emerged superior.

Izuku could render the wolf immobile with his spider webs, but he wasn't confident about its tensile strength. If the wolf succeeded to break through the webs, then all Izuku would do is provide fuel to its hostility. Izuku could kill the wolf by shooting water at high pressure, but he wasn't cruel enough to do such a thing. The only option was to negotiate, but that would only be possible if the wolf was smart enough to understand him. Izuku really hoped that was the case, else the slime would end up as a snack.

"Um..."

Izuku nervously spoke. It was hard to control the tone of the sound he created with his ability, after all what he was producing was an imitation of human speech. He was a slime hence had no organs, which meant that he was incapable of conversing. Thanks to his quirk, he could finally gain abilities that could help him in communicating.

"Are you alright?" Izuku asked the wolf, and then silently scolded himself for asking such a stupid question. Of course the wolf wasn't okay. It was bleeding and its injury was probably caused by humans, which might be the reason for its hostility.

The wolf's ear twitched and Izuku hoped that it was because the beast understood him.

"Can you understand me?" he asked softly. He slowly approached the wolf, but received a vicious hiss in return. Izuku stopped in his tracks. The wolf glared at Izuku with menacing eyes, and then turned around and left. Izuku stayed still. He waited until he could no longer sense the wolf, and then sighed in relief.

"That was terrifying," he thought.

But his relief was short lived, for he heard a gunshot the very next second. Hunting was illegal in the Great Forest of Jura, so the gunshot indicated that something was wrong. Izuku expanded his senses. He did not have eyes, and instead, used an ability to sense the surrounding 'magicules'. Magicules are the building blocks of the very existence of life. They constitute everything, yet it seemed that only Izuku could sense them.

By combining his 'Magic Sense' with 'Sense Sound', which was another one of his many abilities, Izuku could observe every single activity happening in the forest and boy, things were not pretty. Dozens of people were ganging up on the wolf. A couple of arrows were sticking out of its fur. The wolf was bound by a chain made by a quirk. The assailants were attempting to put a muzzle on the wolf's mouth, which infuriated the little slime. One of the assailants urged the group to hurry up so that they could escape.
