Denise was buzzing with excitement and anxiety. She smiled as she dialed her editors number. "Hello sweet! How did the festival go? I'm sorry I wasn't able to make it there, " Barbara tells her. Denise smiles. "It's no problem. Barbara? Are you sitting down?" She asks, pacing her living room. "Um, yes, why?" She asks, hearing the excitement in Denise's voice. "I met someone at the festival... you definitely know him!" She tells her quickly. Barbara chuckles. "Ok,ok! Tell me!" Denise practically squeals. "Tom Hiddleston! He...he..Barb..he gave me his phone number! He's cooking dinner at his house on Friday, " She says, bouncing in place. Barbara yells at her excitement. "Oh my God! Denise! That's so amazing! You lucky tart!" She says, teasing her. "I don't know what to think, but I need help figuring out what to wear. He told me to be comfortable, but I don't think that's possible around him!" She says, sighing. "I can come over on Friday and help you get ready if you need me," Barbara tells her warmly. "That would be perfect....I'm already a nervous wreck." Denise tells her shakily. "Hey love, just be yourself. He's obviously interested." She tells her slyly. Denise smiles. "Ok, I guess...thank you Barb, I appreciate you so much. I'll see you Friday. If you come in the morning, I'll cook breakfast for you, " She tells her. "Oh darling, you're speaking my language!" She says, thinking of a delicious full English breakfast. Denise laughs, and they both hang up. She takes a deep breath and walks into her office, getting comfortable and putting her mind into work mode. She spends the next two hours working on her book, taking a small break for coffee. Early evening finds her fingers stiff and eyes tired. She smiles, taking her glasses off and rubs her eyes. Saving and backing up her work, she shuts her computer off and stands up to stretch. She decides on a light supper and a true crime show she'd been wanting to watch.

Later, she gets ready for bed. Her and Tom hadn't texted each other since they spoke earlier. She swallows hard as she curls up in bed, opening a text. Feeling a blush creep on her face, she sends a simple text. :I hope your day was good. I was able to get a lot of writing done, thankfully! 😊 I look forward to dinner. Sleep well Tom:
She sighs happily as he sends one back.
:I'm glad you were able to break your writers block 😊 I had a relaxing day, thank you. I am eagerly awaiting Friday as well. Sleep well, Denise, and have sweet dreams ❤️:
She plugs her phone in and soon falls asleep.
