The killer smirked to himself as he slipped into the cell, undetected. It was just too easy. The inmate in there awoke immediately when he heard the met bars on his cell door screech and then slam shut. His eyes widened in fear, he was prey trapped in a cage with an apex predator.
"Tsk tsk tsk Bram. You just had to go and get caught didn't you?" The killer asked while approaching him slowly.
"I-I really didn't mean to you, and you promised that no one would find me and Ms. Jones." Bram responded frantically while scooting back against the wall.
"You should've been more careful, you left it way too easy to track you, you fucking idiot. And I heard about what you said during your little interview." Bram's looked as if he were about to shit himself, the killer laughed lowly at his expression. "You've become too much a liability Bram and the last thing I need is a liability."
"But all this time I've been helping you with the CCTV footage, you need me," Bram tried to reason.
The murderer shook his head while smiling manically, "After watching you do it all those times. I think I got it handled. Bye bye Bram."
The killer snatched Bram up, who struggled against his grip, but the killer was infinitely more stronger. The killer put Bram in a headlock and started to squeeze tightly, like a python preparing to eat its prey.
Bram made a noise of gasping for air as he flailed around in the killer's arm's his pulse beating wildly. "Don't you worry Bram," the killer whispered in Bram's ear. "I'll make this look like an accident."

"Jones my office, now." Pierce's voice boomed from across the station as soon she clocked into work. She really didn't get any peace, ever.Zeke turned to her, amusement twinkling in his eyes, "Ouuuuu, someone's in troubleeee." He teased like he was a preteen boy.
Cue smacked him on the back of his freshly buzzed head to shut up him, he immediately started rubbing it, while pouting. "What are you 12 Zeke?" Cue responded playfully before walking into Pierce's office.
It was no doubt about Nika Mühl, the two of them acted like a newlywed couple in the precinct after Cue was found. She didn't regret it though, not one bit, she felt alive again after she saw Nika, and she'd do a thousand more times. Cue was just surprised Pierce didn't demote her right then and there.
Anxiety gripped Cue as she approached her office. Cue still wanted to be on the case, she needed to be on the case, find answers, and bring this killer to justice. It was driving her to the brink of insanity, it clawed and picked at her brain, taking over her like a parasite. The only person keeping her grounded was Nika, one look into those deep brown eyes and she was back on Earth.
Cue entered the office and closed the door behind her, she sat across from Pierce apprehensively. It was as if she was a little girl who just got called in to the principal's office.
Pierce sighed and took off her glasses, as if the sight of Cue was enough to give her a migraine. "First things first Jones, do you know what happened this morning?"
Cue raised an eyebrow, confused. "No what happened? Was another body found?" If another body was found it was weird they hadn't called her, did this mean she was off the case?
"You could say that," Pierce said as she slid a folder across her desk to Cue, as she began looking through it, Pierce explained everything. "Bram Snyde was found dead in his cell this morning, as you can see, he hung himself."
Cue made a noise of surprise as she glanced at the pictures, his lifeless eyes staring back at her. Those eyes and that laugh of his had been haunting her dreams, causing her to wake up in a cold sweat, gasping for air. She closed the folder, not wanting to see his face anymore. "He said he knew who the killer was," Cue muttered softly. "We could've gotten more information out of him."
