Elisa's POV
Ministry of Magic
Fig and I arrived at the Ministry of Magic as requested in the letter we received from George Osric.
It turns out George Oscric was a close friend of Fig. George was researching alongside Miriam about some strange form of ancient magic that has since been forgotten.
This was the first time I remember stepping into the Wizarding World.
Since I never showed any sign of possessing magic, I was only allowed entrance into magical locations when I was just a wee lass. As I grew older, I was not permitted access to any Wizarding World location.
Stepping foot into the Ministry of Magic was overwhelming. One minute, I was holding figs by the arm, and the next thing I knew, I felt as though I was being pressed very hard from all directions and landed on the cold, hard brick floor inside the Ministry.
My mind was overwhelmed by everything I was seeing and experiencing for the first time. I always heard Mom talk about the Ministry as she worked in the Department of Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures.
Mom had always loved animals and had such a soft spot for them; it made sense, after all, that she was a Hufflepuff.
Owls were flying everywhere, delivering mail, and suddenly, a blast of green smoke would erupt, causing such a clatter *crack* just as a new person would arrive. It was terrifying if you ask me.
To say my curiosity and the desire to learn everything that was going on around me was an understatement.
Fig and I stepped foot into an elevator—or so I thought. It was not your typical elevator, as this one would pull you in every direction. We arrived at Basement level 2—Department of Magical Law Enforcement.
We stepped out of the elevator. Fig walked before me, leading me to the Administrative Regulation Department.
Just as Fig was about to knock, the door swung open, and out stepped George Osric. George greets his longtime friend Fig with a hug. Fig says, "George, it's safe to assume you've heard about Aine Odair's daughter, Elisa."
"Ah yes, I have indeed. It is a pleasure to meet you, Elisa, though I wish it were under better circumstances," says George with a hint of melancholy in his tone.
