Leaving behind the vehicles, for now, their only transport was on foot.It was about midnight and the group was still being followed by Walkers.Most of the Walkers have already died, but with every gunshot, it seemed to bring more and more.
Rick's group was currently running next to the waterfall, but with the addition of the family also running with them they were like the new replacements for the unfortunate survivors that died previously in the group.
Carl got a better look at the family, there was the boy who saved his family before, and running along with him seemed to be his younger sister and his parents whom Carl also saw when he first set eyes on the family.
"C'mon May Belle, just push okay?" he heard the boy speak to his sister as they all kept running.
Carl ran alongside the group, struggling to keep up with the pace. The waterfall provided some cover from the Walkers, but the sounds of their growls and footsteps still echoed around them.
As they ran, Carl couldn't help but cast glances at the family that was running beside them. He recognised the boy who had saved his family, and now he could see his sister and parents too. They all seemed like they were holding up well despite the situation.
"Where's the nearest shelter, we can't keep running from them," Maggie uttered with a shaky breath.
Breathing frantically Rick looked behind him as they kept running, seeing the amount of Walkers just forcing the group to run more, "We're near the end of the waterfall, there could be something ahead to keep us hidden."
As the group kept running, the boy's mom also looked over her shoulder and seeing the amount of Walkers she looked at her son, "Jesse, you think you can use another flare?"
The boy whose name was revealed to be Jesse immediately turned his body and aimed his flare gun at the herd, closing one eye he pulled the trigger and out came a flare that was the same one that was used to save Rick's group, especially when Lori was getting pinned by the Walker.
"Are you insane? Flares draw more of those Walkers!" Glenn exclaimed, looking at Jesse with wide eyes.
Carl watched the boy, Jesse, as he aimed his flare gun and fired it at the herd. Once again, a bright red flare lit up the area, drawing the attention of the Walkers.
Jesse turned his body and all eyes were on him, he furrowed his brows slightly at the Asian, a bit annoyed by his overdramatic reaction, "We only got some time before the flare dies down."
