It was a day like any other. Everything seemed normal. Students went to class, the Vixens prepared for the annual pep rally. Couples had their stolen moments in quiet classrooms. But in Riverdale, there's no such thing as normal, as Cheryl Blossom was about to discover. *** I wake up in my bed at the Pembrooke and hear mom and daddy arguing and I walk into the study with Veronica.
"What is going on?" Veronica asks.
"Why am I back here?" I ask them.
"Veronica, Quinn, thank god you are awake. We brought you both home as soon as Weatherbee called us." Mom tells us.
"You both had a seizure, mijas." Daddy tells us.
"What?" Me and Veronica ask.
"It's all the stress you've been under. Getting dropped by Archie, running two businesses." Daddy tells us.
"Which is why we've decided to send you both to New York. You'll finally get some rest, and we'll get you in with the best doctors." Mom tells us.
"Uh, I'm not leaving town." Veronica tells her.
"Neither am I." I tell them.
"Sheriff Minetta's body turns up gangland style, without his hands or head, and you want to ship us off to New York? Why?" Veronica asks.
"No answers? Thought so." I tell them and then I walk out of the study. *** "Attention students, we are hereby closing the student lounge. Please exit immediately." Weatherbee tells us over the intercom.
"First, they cancel sports and extracurriculars, now they're shutting down the lounge? What is going on?" Veronica asks as she walks with me and Cheryl.
"Cheryl, as student body president please tell you got information to share with us." I tell her.
"Though my powers as Dauphine of Riverdale High aren't absolute yet, I am CC'd on all school board emails. And they're having a meeting tonight. I think to discuss shutting down the school. And, Veronica, Quinn, your parents are leading the charge." Cheryl tells us.
"Of course they are. That is exactly what our dad did with Southside High, and he definitely had ulterior motives then." Veronica tells us.
"I wonder what ulterior motives he has this time." I tell them.
"Oh, my god. And now Riverdale High is officially a hot zone?" Cheryl asks as people in hazmat suits rush people out and Weatherbee looks at me and Veronica.
"Those are two of the infected." Weatherbee says as he points at us.
"Go, Veronica, Quinn, run." Cheryl tells us and I grab Veronica's hand as we run. *** "Stop it right there!" Veronica exclaims as me and Cheryl follow her inside Weatherbee's office where the board meeting is.
