As I continue to watch
People who found their match
I wonder how they felt
And how they last
I looked back
Into my past
When I was young
And free from tasks
I met a boy
Who I thought was my match
He loved me
And I loved him back
I didn't know how to act
How to feel
how to make it last
To make sure we loved each other till we pass
"All good things come to an end."
I didn't even know if it was good
Because i had doubts
and he did too.
It was mixed
It was a roller coaster ride
It was too confusing
It made me want to die
He told others what I said
He refused to communicate
I had to ask others
Just to know what he'll say
I did the same
I was worse
I communicated with little clarity
I was a tragedy
I didn't know how to love
It's true
Though don't get me wrong
This is not an excuse
And so it ends
And I had time to reflect
Without the worry of knowing what to say
The next time he texts
I felt numb
I wasn't hurt
I didn't cry
Nor did I curl
Maybe it wasn't love
It was just desperation
To finally love
Without any separation
A month passed
Before I finally felt something
When I finally missed
The past
But not when we liked each other
But when we were still friends
A time when confusion didn't exist
A time when we weren't lost in the mist
When we were still budding
Enjoying the sun
Ignoring the rain
Supporting each other despite the pain
Maybe i did love him
But not in the way he felt
Not the way everyone expected
Not in a way a language can't tell
Our love for each other was like flowers
Growing in the meadow
His was a beautiful red rose
Mine bloomed yellowOriginal title/main idea: Loved, never to love
