" Thank you for saving my son. I can't even imagine him not being with me. " The old woman sobbed with relief and gratitude.

" Oh, it's nothing. As a doctor, it's my duty. " The young woman smiled gently. "Just grant me your precious blessings. I want to save as many lives as I can." She gently held the old lady's hand in her soft palms.

" Your pulse rate expressed your happiness. It's quite fast. " The doctor chuckled.

" Okay, I'll be leaving now. Take care, and yes, warn your son not to have too much oily food for a month. "

The doctor went inside her cabin to get her things done for heading home. A nurse entered inside," Here are the medical reports you asked, Ma'am. "

She took the files from the nurse's hand. " Thank you. " With that, she left her cabin and went out for her home.

...

The girl was walking on the footpath. It was late night and was really dark. " I should have left a little earlier. But anyway, the surgery went successful. "

She was delighted with that old lady's smile. Her phone rang, and she took it out to receive the call without looking because she knew who it was.

" Why do you always have to call me when I'm at my way to home? " She questioned.

" Hey, why so angry, Sanvi? I'm your bf, so it's obvious that I'm worried for you. " She received an answer in a dramatic tone.

" I'll call you myself when I'm home. Bye, love you. " And she hanged the call. " Am I a small child that everyone needs to worry about? I'm a doctor, doctor Sanvi Sinha. I can look after myself better. "

She complained and started her walk again.

...

Sanvi was near her home. She was walking peacefully when suddenly she was taken forcefully in the gaily she was walking past by.

" Hey! Leave me! " She yelled. Struggling to free herself with all the strength available, the woman's face was going all pale.

The man covered her mouth so she couldn't shout and placed a knife on her neck. Another man came running hastily inside the same gaily. His steps were suddenly interrupted when he saw Sanvi in the man's capture.

" You move, and she's dead. "

The gangster exclaimed in victory. The other man, with muscular body, sharp jawline, and an alluring face, just simply smirked.

" So devastating. Taking the advantage of a woman in front of me? "

Sanvi's POV

" So devastating. Taking the advantage of a woman in front of me? " He said in a cold and dangerous voice, as if he would kill this man right here.

I don't know what's going on here, but I'm sure that I'm having anxiety. Why the hell does this man have grabbed me? I didn't even do anything wrong.
