"How the hell does he even know her?" This same question was taunting Sanvi, the female sitting on the bed with her train of thoughts,"If I marry him, it means I can get some clue of Sikha."

Now, the coast was clear. She wanted to find Sikha, and God himself has helped her. Why would she refuse now? Of course, this marriage is destined completely.

"This seems interesting," she muttered within herself,"Dear sister, you can't run away from us." She chuckled in a devilish way,"You're still to pay for the tears of our parents."

The next day
Evening time

The sun was setting down as usual, the sky blended with soft shades of pink and violet. The birds heading towards their nest in groups, and else preparing for the night. The roadways were getting crowded by various groups of humans, and the majority was of the teens.

Sanvi was walking to her home when she met her past. Advik was at her front, holding hands with another female. Sanvi was completely shattered, her head spinning.

"Damn it," she cursed under her breath,"He really never loved me, and cheating is the moreover on this."

Sanvi walked furiously towards the love birds, whose lips were almost about to touch in a kiss. She jerked Advik to face her, a hard slap landing on his face.

"What the-" Advik focused his eyes upon her and smirked devilishly. "Oh, see. Whom do we have here? My so-called gf," he laughed mockingly.

"Don't you have any shame left in your stock?" She delivered a sarcasm,"You never loved me, and now you're cheating too."

"Yeah, I am," he replied nonchalantly,"So what if I am? She's my gf, and I love her. Look at her once. She's so beautiful, far away from you."

Sanvi chuckled darkly upon this,"Yeah, I can see her looks. But I doubt that she has the same intelligence."

The girl growled at Sanvi upon this. Her clothes were ugly, in my opinion. Her body was revealing with her short top and the short jeans; her bright yellow top was sleeveless with a deep neck, revealing her cleavage. Make-up was the meal of her beauty.

"I'm as intelligent as you, Miss," the girl declared.

"Oh yeah? Then answer my question," Sanvi challenged. "You know as much as me, right? Tell me, what is mitochondria?"

"Eh? Mito- what?"

"Wow, you don't know the answer to such a simple question, huh? This is an 8th grader question," Sanvi mocked at her, and glanced at Advik with a superior gaze. She walked some steps after drifting both of them into embarrassment.

She stopped on her tracks and turned around,"Hey, Advik," she called out.

"What?"

"Thanks."

"For what?" He raised an eyebrow. Thanks? To him?

"For proving me blind."

"What do you exactly mean?"

"I loved you blindly, and you proved me blind," she chuckled bitterly, pain evident in her chuckle. Without expecting any response, she left.

In late evening

The Dameshwamedh Ghat, where the evening Aarti of Ganga maa takes place, Sanvi was sitting on one of the stairs, her face hidden between her knees. Her black and silky hair were disheveled by now, and she was crying mess.

Many people passed by who cast her any eye, but none dared to step and inquire whether if she's okay. She sat, all alone curled up to herself. The world around her seemed like it had faded away. Only her and her Krishna ji.

Between the tintinabulation of the temple bells that filled up the atmosphere, another voice, cold and familiar, pierced through her ears,"What are you doing here? What's wrong?"

The girl just stared at the figure with her tear filled eyes for a moment longer than necessary. It was Kartik.

"N-nothing..." she stood up quickly, wiping off her tears, her voice a bit shaky, anyway.

"You shouldn't lie in front of the holy Ganga," he sighed and wiped a tear from her cheeks, his touch surprisingly soft,"I heard what Advik said."

Her eyes widened, and her face turned pale, as if she would break down any moment.

"I didn't think I'll ever do this, but you need rest. Come, I'll drop you home," Kartik offered his hand to Sanvi, even though it was reluctant.

"No, thanks. I'll go home myself," she resisted with a façade of smile. Her pain was too much for a real smile.

"I didn't ask, I ordered," Kartik's voice took its usual turn, cold, ruthless, and distant.

Reluctantly, with shaking hands, Sanvi held Kartik's offered one, and he led her inside his lavish and expensive car, surrounded with 4 more. It belonged to his bodyguards.
