Sanvi's POV

Sitting near the window, looking outside of the window, staring at the bright moon, I was lost somewhere. The tranquility of night hitting deep in the core of my heart, trying to heal my fractured heart.

The cold and soft rushes of wind piercing through my soul, passing past by me while leaving its gentle touch on my sensitive skin. It feels like Maa has kept her soft and gentle palms on my cheek, holding it and giving support.

As my gaze lingered with the stary sphere, someone knocked on the door.

" Didi? (Sister?) " I recognized it to be as my brother's voice, but I didn't turn to see him entering inside.

" Didi, you angry with me? " He said in a dramatic tone. As always. I turned at him and stared for a good 2 minutes.

" You'll not care for what's happening in the home, at first place. After that, you're asking, 'Didi, you angry?' " I said with a pure pinch of sarcasm, looking at him with fierce eyes.

" The day you'll find out the reason for my absence in the matters, you'll definitely praise me. " He sighed and left without matching with my gaze.

I was confused about what he was talking about. I again turned towards the moon, looking up at him.

This decision of marriage is against my will. I never truly want to marry someone whom I don't even know. But, responsibilities exist.

...

As I can see, everyone is talking and laughing. No one has noticed till yet that this marriage is against my will. Only if they did, then this wedding could have been postponed or canceled. Neither I can refuse myself nor anyone will.

Seems like I'm stuck. I'm stuck in my life. Whom I never wanted to see again is the one I'm marrying.

" Hey, let the kids talk for a while in private. After all, they are going to be each other's partner. They need to know each other a better. " My soon-to-be mother-in-law, Anushka maa, considered.

" Yeah, sure. Sanvi, take Kartik to your room. " Papa demanded, and I nodded, looking down at my intertwined fingers.

" Let's go..." I stood up and met his gaze, only to look down in fear. His gaze... so terrible, so terrifying, so fierce.

He stood up and walked past by me as I followed him with closed steps.

...

He entered inside the room, and so did I. I locked the door so no one heard our conversation. I need to tell him everything or else it will be cheating.

About everything about my past relationship. As a soon-to-be husband, he has all the rights to know before the wedding.

" I... want to tell you... something... necessary, " I started, but he never seemed to turn around and look at me. As I noticed that he would not turn around, I sighed and continued.

" I was involved... in a relationship at my past. " I closed my eyes and uttered my words. He was still.

" But, I have left him. Still, if you don't like, you can put off the wedding -" I had just completed my sentence when he pinned me against the wall within no time.

" If you dared to utter a single word any further... that will be a nightmare for you, " he warned me. His hot breath sending shivers down in my spines.

I never had any courage to meet up his gaze, especially at this time. His muscular body against mine was increasing my heartbeat.

" You... you're sister, the elder sister of Sikha, right? " He asked while lifting my chin up with his finger. Without opening my eyes, I nodded repeatedly for 5 times.

He grinned. I sensed it somehow.

" Me too, never wanted to marry anyone. But now that I know you're Sikha's sister, this marriage seems to be interesting. " He added. I opened my eyes and looked up at him.

" You... too? " I was in a deep shock. He, too, is like me.

" Yes... me too. " He left me and was about to step outside the door.

" Then, why so unexpected change? " I asked while staring at him.

" That's none of your matters. " The only answer I received. He left the room with that.

I was staring at the door blankly, trying to find an answer. A perfect reason for my question,

Why so unexpected change?
