Next day, Taehyung returned to his therapy session with Dr. Hana, his heart heavy with concern. As he entered her office, his eyes fell upon the marks marring her face, and a surge of anger and worry swept through him.

"What the hell? He hit you again?" Taehyung blurted out, his voice edged with frustration.

"It's my personal life-" Hana began defensively, but Taehyung cut her off sharply.

"Enough! I've heard this excuse for a year now. How can you stay silent? He's not your husband! Just because you chose him doesn't mean you can't leave. You work for both of you while he drinks and hurts you. he's just your boyfriend, break up with him already," Taehyung demanded, his words fueled by his long-held concern and growing impatience.

He couldn't bear seeing her in pain any longer. For over a year, he had witnessed her suffering under the weight of her abusive relationship with Felix, her druggie boyfriend, and it grated on his nerves.

"Why can't you let go?" Taehyung yelled, exasperated.

"Why can't you let go?" Hana shot back, her own anger rising to meet his.

"What?" Taehyung's brows furrowed in confusion.

"Why can't you let go of her?" Hana clarified, her voice tinged with frustration. "You've been blaming yourself for two years when you weren't at fault. Why can't you move on from her memories and live your own life? It's easy to advise others, but much harder when it's us," she argued, her words cutting through his defenses.

As she tried to walk away, Taehyung grasped her hand firmly, halting her departure.

"What if I let her go?" he asked quietly, catching her off guard.

"Huh?" Hana's eyes widened in surprise.

He led her outside and into his car, driving in silence until they reached his apartment. Without a word, he guided her to a specific room, opening the door to reveal its contents.

Hana gasped as she took in the sight before her-walls adorned with photographs of a girl: laughing, smiling, reading books in the library, and caught in peaceful sleep.

"Annie?" Hana whispered, barely able to comprehend.

Taehyung nodded solemnly. "She was reading 'It Ends With Us' here, crying her eyes out," he said with a sad chuckle, tracing his fingers over a picture.

"And here, we argued over book genres until the librarian kicked us out," he continued, his voice tinged with nostalgia and pain.

With each photograph, Taehyung recounted memories with an earnestness that both comforted and saddened Hana. It was as if he was sharing a piece of his soul, revealing a past he struggled to release.

"And this one, she was teaching me how to bake cookies," Taehyung added softly, a bittersweet smile touching his lips.

Hana listened, captivated by the warmth and love woven into each tale, yet keenly aware of the lingering sorrow that clung to Taehyung's heart.

"Letting go isn't about forgetting," Taehyung murmured, meeting Hana's gaze with sincerity. "It's about honoring what we had, accepting the pain, and finding a way to move forward."

Hana stood frozen, watching Taehyung with a mixture of shock and sorrow as he gathered Annie's favorite books and the photographs that adorned the walls. Her heart ached at the sight of him throwing them to the floor, his actions filled with a raw desperation.

"These were her favorite books," Taehyung muttered, his voice thick with emotion, as he piled the photographs on top of them. With trembling hands, he carefully arranged them before lighting a match.
