Description: Final story to the Johnny Ringo trilogy.

Type: War

The past six months in Hell have been amusing for Luci. He's known about David's little rebellion for awhile now. Luci decided to let David indulge in his little group. His plan was going swimmingly, until he noticed how less demons were losing their humanity.

"General," Luci states as he enter his War Room. "What's the status of our current humanity loss?"

"Sire," the General gulps, "I'm afraid I have troubling news. Last month 75% of demons were losing their humanity. As of this morning, that number has dropped to 20%."

"What?!" Luci's horns grow substantially as his once white suit is now ashen in color.

"It has to do with that rebellion," Commander General joins in. "I've lost nearly a thousand demons to that rebellion."

"General," Luci growls, "gather your troops. Commander, gather yours. If this little rebellion wants a war, then let's give them one. Our numbers outweigh theirs. This will be an easy battle."

Before either demon has a chance to respond, Luci marches out of the War Room and makes his way to the armory. He spots his suit of armor in cased in glass in the far wall. He slowly makes his way towards it, letting his black wings relax behind him. His wings stretch with ease. Luci knows he'll need every bit of strength and every advantage possible if he's going to win the war. Luci won't admit it out loud, but David's strong will might help his rebellion win.

As for David, his resentment for Luci has almost caused him to have a psychoatic break in the past few days. He never thought that leading a rebellion would cause more anger within him. His head gets brought back into reality as his general, Andy, walks in.

"David," he begins, "we need to start planning our attack."

"I know," David replies, "we just need a few more demons on our side first."

"Guys," Trees runs in, "he knows."

"Who knows," Andy asks.

"Luci," David replies. "Fuck!" David throws his fist at the wall and breaks a small picture frame. The broken glass leaves uneven scratches on David's knuckles.

"We need to act now," Trees states. "Right now we have the advantage."

"It's a suicide mission to act now," Andy interjects. "His army still out numbers us."

Trees and Andy begin to argue back and forth. David's eyes close as he tries to remain calm. He tries but fails to focus on the blood dripping down his hand.

"Shut up," David growls loudly. The room goes eerily silent at the sound of David's voice. David's eyes travel down to the picture frame. A calming anger comes over him, helping in to focus on his battle plan.

"Tonight," David begins, "we attack the Devil's army on their own turf. Knowing Luci, he'll have his army already in place at the Crossroads. Trees, get those demons on our side now. Andy, prepare our army. Our rebellion starts now!"

Trees and Andy quickly leave the room, following David's instructions. David watches as the blood continues to drip from his hand. A numbness begins to fill the void in his sould he did not know he had.

On opposite sides of Hell, both armies prepare for war. Luci's army is composed of some of the oldest and most loyal demons he has tortured. David's army is composed of the newer demons and some of the humans that are slowly turning into demons. Luci places his once heavenly armor on, making sure his wings are exposed. David places donated pieces of armor on.

The once porcelain skin of the Devil turns ashen in color as talons extend from his hand. It has been several generations since Luci has had to show his true face. His bone chilling red eyes look at the generals as if they are hollow. The Devil wraps a tight hand around his sword as his army sets a trap for David's army.

The Devil smirks as he watches his demons lay the trap. David reminds Luci of himself when he rebelled against Heaven. Knowing this, Luci will hold his army in the darkest part of the Crossroads as David's army falls into the trap.

David watches the Crossroads with Andy. The silence in the air fills David with uneasiness.

"This is too easy," David whispers. "It's gotta be a trap."

"There's no way," Andy shakes his head, "the Devil doesn't know our plan."

"He's the Devil for fuck's sake," David huffs. "I won't be surprised if he's spying on us right now. Let's get back to the army."

David and Andy quickly make their way back to the army. Luci's red eyes glare in anger as the trap isn't working. He quickly flies above his army to release some tension in his wings. Sounds of moving armor catch Luci's ears. He follows the sound and notices that it's coming from David's army.

"Tonight," Luci's voice deepens, "we fight to kill those that appose the cruel ways of Hell!"

"Tonight," David addresses his army, "we fight to reclaim our lives! Kill every since demon, the Devil is mine!"

Both armies cheer and raise their weapons. Both leaders glare at each other before leading their armies into the battle. The sound of armor intertwines with the battle cries from both sides.

David goes on the defensive as he collides with a few demons. He quickly maneovers his way into a slightly open area, eyes quickly looking for the ashen skin of his enemy. His ears pick up on the flip of Luci's wings. David turns around and is face-to-face with the Devil.

David and Luci circle each other, trying to see who will attack first. Anger begins to boil in David's veins as he stares down Luci. David lunges out and tries to slice into Luci's wings. Luci quickly dodges and blocks David's attack with his sword. The clashing of metal around the pair seem deafening as their swords join in.

"Admit defeat," Luci hisses.

"Never," David growls.

"You're crazy," Luci chuckles, "crazier than me."

"Sometimes you gotta be crazy to beat the Devil."

David's face hardens as he dodges Luci's attack. Taking the opportunity, David quickly slices Luci's wings with the dagger Andy tosses him. An ear splitting cry of agony rings out on the battlefield. Luci's eyes turn pure black. He sets himself aflame, burning his wings in the process.

Deep blood red scars cover Luci's back, reminding him of where his wings once were. His talons sharpen as he stands up.

"You just dug your grave," Luci growls deeply.

"No," David barks back, "I just dug yours."

With unbelievable speed, David forces his hand into Luci's chest. His fingers wrap around his black heart and he pulls it out easily. The startled look on Luci's face stares at David. With one fina swing of his sword, David decapitates Luci.

The sound of metal against metal begins to slowly cease as the demons sense that their leader is dead. One by one the demons begin to take a knee and bow their heads in David's direction.  As all the anger and hatred leaves David's body, he stares in shock at the demons before him.

Just because you kill the Devil, doesn't mean you get rid of him.

A/N: My first war story! It was nice to complete the Johnny Ringo CTR trilogy. I'm gonna try to write a few more stories this week. If that doesn't happen, then I can promise that these biweekly imagines will continue.
