"Where are we even going now?", I said as I put on my haori, which always taught me who I should be.

It's designed in such a way that it reminds me of two important people I've ever had in my life. One, my Oneesan, Tsutako, who died saving me the day before her wedding. Two, the only weird dude who befriended a jerk like me, Sabito.

Which fills me with nothing but guilt, not because I lost them, but because I couldn't do anything to save them. I was hopeless, and unworthy of any title I receive, if Sabito was here, he would've been the water hashira. Besides, I'm probably the only demon slayer who skipped the Final Selection.

"To the butterfly mansion of course!", Kocho greeted with her usual smile. "I haven't taken anything for our travel"

"Mhm", I said... Well, I didn't know what I was supposed to say.

"You're coming?", She said.

"You don't want me to?", I said in the same tone.

"Uh... ", she looked at the ground. "A bit of company won't hurt"

If you're going to ask me about what made me say that, the answer would probably  be Sabito! He would've possessed me into saying that! SABITO! DUDE, STOP GETTING INTO ME! I MIGHT PROBABLY ASK HER OUT THE NEXT TIME IF THIS CONTINUES.

"Fine then", I shrugged off, because even if I had refused to go with her, she would come up with an infinite number of excuses to drag me along with her. "Don't tell me you're gonna come with my sister's Kimono"

"Of course, Tomioka-san", she said. "My uniform and haori are still wet, I can't... and won't wear wet clothes"

Eh, Drama queen, Insect, Parasite.... "Mhm.. if so, you need to remove your idiotic bun or whatever in your head, because your uniform hairstyle in a casual dress makes you look..."

"Look like what, Tomioka-san?", she said as she immediately obeyed my words and removed her butterfly clip. Damn, you should've seen how her was bouncy and short just like her. The fact that it had purple highlights, made her look... I better not finish that.

"T-That's way better", I nodded and walked out. "Don't forget to take anything, then you'll accuse me of stealing"

"You see, I'm a different person unlike you"

"Very well then, get out and call your crow"

"I know the way from here", she said.

"Then I should've let you go in the midnight rain"

"I'm a poor little girl", she said thinking it was cute.

"A creepy insect", I corrected. "That's pretty much it"

She glared at me for a second and she walked out with a bag containing her wet clothes. She put on her slippers, when I just noticed how my sister's kimono wasn't flowing down the floor. "How did the Kimono fit you now?", I asked right away because curiosity was forever my virtue.

"I jinxed it, baka"

......

We were so close to the butterfly mansion when a few sparrows came and sat on Kocho's shoulder.

"Tomioka-san?", she called. "Do you have any food?"

"No I don't", I lied. I had onigiri for emergency purposes though. What if I fainted while walking in this hell of a dessert?

"You're lying", she said. "Your eyes were going to the left"

"Oi, that's a myth!", I tried to manage it but two of the sparrows in her hands came to my head and stared to peck my glorious head of hair. "Gee-- get off!-- Kocho, what are you looking at? Help me shoo them!"
