Chapter 3: How To Be Awkward?

I woke up.

Wait... I didn't remember sleeping in a bed.

And what's this place? A literal hospital?

OHHH!

"Tomioka-san, aren't you bored?", Kocho asked, her eyes closed and her lips curled in a smile, her hands behind her. Like she was going to do some mischief on purpose.

"Why?", I raised an eyebrow at her. 

"We could get a little practice, you know", she said. "What if we encounter an upper rank--"

"Of course", I said. What kind of Hashira quest doesn't have an upper moon?

"So, you're coming for the practice? Yay!"

"Oi, No!", I protested. "Hey! that- that's not what I meant!"

"Oh come on!", she pulled my wrist and dragged me to the lawn. Look, I never had any intentions to come to this insect mansion, or to train with a kid with issues named, Kocho Shinobu. Wait... was she having some plans?

She took out her original katana and looked at me, like I should be doing the same. 

"--Katana?", I said. 

 "Obviously", she confirmed.

"But, I'm afraid you'd be knocked out in a second-", I said as I pulled out my katana, NOTE: I PULLED IT OUT AFTER HER WORD.

"Ah, we'll see who'll get knocked out", she said. Well that sounded like she had a weird plan to get me knocked out for sure, and she's trying it out on me. 

She aimed for my head, like she was going to hit right in my forehead. I was defending myself when she changed her angle to aim at my neck. Shit.

.....

"Oh Giyu-sama, you're up", the blue butterfly girl with two pigtails said. "Kocho-sama got scared after she knocked you out... your eyes were wide open and you weren't breathing"

Ofcourse getting knocked out equals being without life for a while. She's acting, as if she had never pre-planned it. Damn you, Kocho... Wait till I get revenge. "Oh", I managed to mutter. "Time?"

"Past evening, about dinner time", she said.

"Okay. I'll go search for her--", I said getting up from the bed. 

"Ahh, no you can't--", the girl made me sit back. "Y-you can't meet her right now... um..."

"Why ?", She probably told this little kid to keep me here and manage until I forget everything? Not happening!

"S-she's busy", she averted her gaze, her palms were getting sweaty, as she took her handkerchief and wiped it.

"I don't care, I want to meet her right now", I said, letting my thoughts to go out freely. "How can she knock me out on purpose and stay silent in a place, without me getting revenge?"

She looked at me, amazed. Well I've never spoken too much to an unknown girl. 

She blushed a bit, clearly visible for her skin-tone. "S-she's in the... Onsen", she said in a low voice and cleared her throat. "I'll bring some food for you Giyu-sama, so stay here!", she ordered and walked quickly, it almost looked like she was running.
