"You'll know when it's coming for you"

Ughhhhh," Lavender said as she woke up. Today was the day. She had woken up in a hotel in Oklahoma. Her friend from college, kate, had asked her to be a part of a team. It was for a company named storm par.

Lavender had not been storm chasing in 3 years. She thought that her storm chasing days were over the second her relationship was over. She had realized she needed something more serious more stable. And she had to get the hell away from you know who. But Kate wanted to help people and so did Lavender. That is the only reason she is going. The only reason why she left her weather person job in Florida. But it was only for a week right? What could happen in one week.

.................................................................................

Lavender arrived at the gas station where storm par was meeting. She didn't sign a contract with them since she was just there to help kate out.

Lavender got out of the car and ran to give kate a hug. "Hi kateee I missed you," she said as she hugged her. "I missed you too! Thanks for being my emotional support," kate said as lavender laughed. "That's what friends are for, and I owe for ya know all your help all those years ago." Kate laughed remembering that era of their lives.

Lavender POV

"Everyone this is Lavender, Lavender this is everybody," kate said as she introduced me to the crew or the team is what they call themselves. "Hi," I said. Then I went to introduce myself to Javi and we talked about the plan.

After introducing myself to the team, I went into the gas station to get myself an iced tea. While I was done paying, I heard loud music so I walked outside, big mistake. When I suddenly heard, "if you feel it, chase it!" I froze, I hadn't heard that voice in 3 years. Part of me wanted to go right up to him and slap him in the face, break down and cry, or worst of all, just kiss and make up. I prepared myself to go and talk to him.

I started walking up the the tornado wranglers cars. As I listened to the music and my old crew and friends talking, I couldn't help but miss when I was a part of their crew. Tyler and the crew were surrounded by fans that were ready to buy all of the tshirts with his stupid face on it. Then I saw Tyler in his signature cowboy stance talking to kate. As I was getting closer I heard they were talking about which tornado to go for. "You know I knew someone like you before, she had the same instinct for these kind of things," Tyler said. I froze again, knowing he was talking about me.

I walked in between them and handed Kate a coffee trying to avoid making eye contact with him for as long as possible. "Here's that coffee for ya kate," I said. "Thanks" she said oblivious to what was going to happen next.

I already felt his eyes looking at me. I turned around meet his wide eyes and open mouth. "Well hello there if it isn't Tyler the douche," I said with an irritated face. Tyler closed his mouth and the shock went away. Then he out in his signature grin that I hated but secretly loved.

"Lavender Wilson as I live and breath, miss me already Daisy," he said looking me deep in the eyes. I stare at him with a blank face so he doesn't know how much hearing that stupid nickname for the first time in years affected me. As I was about to slap that stupid grin off of his face, kate said, "wait you guys know each other." Now it was me that smirked. Tyler looked at me intrigued with what I was going to say. "While yes Kate this is mr douche cowboy," I said while walking away cause I didn't want the tension between me and Tyler to increase.

Kate was now the one with shocked eyes as she said:
"Oh shit"
