My brows furrow when I enter the foyer. Lorenzo was pacing back and forth while shouting orders at someone on the phone. I feel bad for whoever's on the other. “Voglio che l'aereo sia pronto in cinque minuti.” He says, before ending the call. The only language I know is English. So, the thing I got out of that conversation was that he's fuming.

[Translation: I want the plane ready in five minutes.]

He turns to face me, his expression unreadable. “Pack your bags.” The tone of his voice is rough, laced with anger.

“What? Why?” I was not leaving my house without a good enough reason. And besides, I have and will never take orders from a man.

He lets out a sigh of frustration, massaging the corner of his eyes. “Listen here Daddy's princess, I don't have time to argue. So it's either you get your pretty ass upstairs and pack your things or I'll drag you out the door.” My eyes widen slightly at his tone.

Even if he was annoyed at me, -which is everyday- his tone was calmer. And he wasn't threatening me. The way he looked at me, made a flicker of fear run down my spine. Something I’ve noticed is the way his eyes change color depending on his mood. Right now, it was dark. So dark that it was possible to see your own reflection.

Deciding against fighting him, I turn around and head back up to my room. He didn’t tell me where we're going or how long we'll be gone, so I pack my suitcase with clothes for every season. When I am done, I take my two suitcases downstairs.

Lorenzo was still standing in the same spot as before, this time angrily typing away on his phone. He glances up, signaling someone to take my lugage.

“There's a car out front waiting for you. I'll come on my own.” He doesn't let me speak before he walks off. A little explanation would be nice.

Just like he said, there’s a black Range Rover parked outside. The driver helps me in and then gets in himself. I glance back at the mansion as we depart the driveway. Maybe it's the last time I'll ever see. He's probably going to kill me. But I am not going out without a fight. I took karate classes when I was five for a moment like this.

I try to distract myself by looking out the window. It was pretty gloomy. The sky was overcast and looked like it was going to pour any second now. The rain is pretty. However the thunder, not so much. The sound of the roof shaking whenever there’s thunder terrifies. The drive takes forever though, I only spot two cats. I guess the rest of the animals are scared of thunder like me.

“Ma'am we're here.” The car comes to a full stop on a large piece of land. Stepping out, my jaw drops. A huge matte black plain with the last name “Diavolo.” was parked a few meters from where we stopped. My father is rich but not this rich. Lornezo’s probably able to buy my father and still have billions remaining.

“Ms. Montgomery, please follow me.” A random man appears guiding up the plane. I have never been more confused as of right now. Seeing my expression, he says, “Capo has ordered us to take- off without him. He will be joining you in a few days.”

“Where are we going, exactly?” He leads me to the sitting area. The plane looks more like a house; a really expensive one.

“Unfortunately, that is undisclosed information?” How the hell is that undisclosed information?! Can't I know where I'm going. For all I know, this is a trap and the plane’s going to crash and kill me.
