** Next Week **

** Evan's P.O.V. **

I rested on the counter, watching the customers mill about. Nicole had yet to arrive. Suddenly the door opened and there stood a flushed Nicole, red cheeks and hairs all blown astray. I perked up, happy that she had arrived. She scurried up to the counter.

"I'm so sorry I'm late, I didn't mean too! I had gotten caught up in something at home." She said, and I chuckled softly.

"Don't tell me sorry, tell Scarlet that, she's in the back." I said, and a look of despair came over Nicole. She headed towards the back, her brown hair pulled back into a ponytail, while her bangs hung down. She disappeared into the back room and I turned to find myself facing a customer. With a reluctant smile I began cashing in her items. She had, a lot. This was gonna take a while.

It had been about twenty minutes and Nicole was by my side, running the other cash register. She had quickly gotten the hang of it after I explained the basics, and now she seemed to be a pro.

"So I take it that you're not fired?" I asked after she had finished with her customer, she turned towards me, looking exhausted already.

"No, she said that it was okay and some other things. She understood. I just need to stay to close up though. Sorry about that, that really cuts into our time." I shrugged.

"I can stay with you. Don't worry, it won't cut into our time that much. We get off about a few hours before this place closes anyways." I said, and she seemed relieved.

"Alright then." She said, smiling softly. I quickly wondered if she was as excited about this as I was. I had to admit, she was really pretty even though you could she she rushed her morning routine to get here as soon as possible. If only I could kiss her. Oh god, Evan what are you thinking? She is taken by some rockstar. Why the fuck would she leave him to come to you? Then I saw I hand moving in front of my eyes. "Uh Evan?" I turned around to find Nicole confused. I must have spaced out by accident.

"Sorry, I was caught up in my thoughts. What did you say?" I asked her.

"Well, as I was saying dummy, where are we going after we finish?" She asked me curious.

"Oh, how about just walk around and chill. maybe get an ice cream some place?" I told her. She nodded.

"Sounds great. Can't wait. Also, what were you thinking that you were so caught up into?" She asked me innocently. Oh god, I couldn't tell her the truth. I couldn't even find the courage to tell her that I was thinking how wonderful it would be if she didn't have a rockstar for a boyfriend so I could kiss her.

"Uh, just thinking about what a mess I left at home and that I have to later clean up when I go back." I told her. She nodded and went back to work. At least she believed me with that excuse.

** Closing Time **

The day had passed otherwise uneventful, customers were nice and respectful, and Nicole even casually chatted with most of her customers while she had runged up their items. She made a wonderful impression on our customers, and I knew they'd come back soon because of her. She walked out the door, holding it open for me.

"Excuse me sir, but I'm afraid you have to leave." She said, and I laughed, stepping out.

"I'm sorry that I delayed your closing time by zero seconds. Do forgive me." I said, watching her lock up the door before putting the keys in my hand. Unlike her, I actually had to go to work this weekend. We headed out towards the center, casually chatting and just overall relaxing.

"So, do you like it here at Hot Topic?" I asked her. She smiled and nodded.

"Yeah, it's wonderful. I mean I always admired that place and now I work there? Just beautiful. The only thing I can think of as a downside are the fangirls asking and wondering if I'm really am Oli's girlfriend. I mean, it's nice seeing how much they pay attention and how excited they are every time they ask me that. I just don't like lying to them." She told me. I never really understood why she did this? Was she like embarrass to be Oli's girlfriend or something?
