Jackie 'JP' Peterson's heartbreak led to her success. Well, if you knew her personally she would say that Tyler Owens is the reason for her success, but she will never say that publicly.

It's a classic story of heartbreak. Jackie, fresh out of college at twenty-two, celebrating graduation and getting tipsy. She has a shot bought for her from an older man, their eyes meet, and she drags the man into the nearest alleyway, sucking faces and leaving marks.

She got his number, was escorted back to her apartment, and was left with a goodnight kiss and his cowboy hat, getting told 'I need a reason to see you again', before the man bid her and his hat a farewell.

A few days go by, he appears back at her doorstep, and their story of dating starts. They were... Similar, back then. She was a cowgirl born and raised. A tomboy who could handle mud and loved playing dirty. Meteorology was her passion and she knew each storm told a story. They just worked.

Their story was pure, a puppy love kinda romance. Always in the honeymoon stage, even after two years of dating. But like most stories of heartbreak, someone loses their love.

Slowly, the man began to be more fascinated in YouTube than his own girlfriend. He started off small, streaming storms and giving all information on the upcoming weather. But with a pretty face and a smart brain, it's going to draw attention. The man, who started off telling basic facts of storms began chasing tornadoes and hell, was it a hit. His channel grew and along with it, his ego.

'Tornado Wrangler' took form, and the man she kept to herself became the YouTuber golden boy. Tyler Owens simply became a man she loves to a man she barely knows. And when push came to shove when she really needed him, he wouldn't budge. He argued that she should join his channel, but she argued that partners in business never work out. YouTube became his life and she was merely an obstacle in the way of the storm.

He broke it off. Simply put. The two years of love they built vanished. She packed her things and ran. Ran from the storms and went to warmer weather. She never wants to see a tornado again. And so, her home became California. The ocean slowly healed her soul and her heartbreak became a lesson.

She realizes now, two years later, how similar Tyler and her really are. Hell, she even has her own fame now. 'Single Light', her podcast, focuses on singleness and the process of rebuilding ones worth after losing themselves. She has the fame, she has the beauty, she has the money, yet she is still missing her heart.

She swears her heart left her body and stayed with him the day he broke it off, and some form of herself also was left behind. Cowgirl boots turned into heels. Flannels into corsets. A country girl into a city girl. She's nothing like the twenty-four year old madly in love. She's now twenty-six and forever haunted by the twenty-nine year old man she fell so badly for.

She was a cowgirl at one point in her life, sobbing desperately into her pillow for some answer other than a selfish end of love. She wonders if he was like her, desperately hurt by their story coming to an end.

Do cowboys cry too?

Surely not. He's charming and way too into himself to cry over silly little her. She knows he hasn't been hurt in the way she has, especially when she gets a call from him, stating he wants her to be a part of the chase. 'A pretty face always does well on our channel' and 'this will give you views, add to your compelling story of heartbreak'. That stupidly charming man, working his way back into her life. And she's even more stupid, because she accepts!

Her rekindling with her ex. Telling the story of how she truly has moved on, it will be a hit for her podcast and even give her a peace of mind that she is finally over him.

The only problem, metrology can only help so much, especially when an outbreak of this magnitude is unleashed. She is chasing a storm while ignoring the returned thunder in her heart.

But she has a goal, hurt Tyler like he hurt her. She may not be the type for jealousy or revenge, but damnit, she wants him to pay.

Oh how nice it will be, reckoning Tyler's world. They say men don't cry, but when she is done getting her revenge there will be a new saying that Cowboys cry too.
