The pittar patter sound of raindrops tapping against the window created a soothing melody, as if nature itself was whispering a lullaby. A wonderful environment for Jungkook to let him sleep in Taehyung's comfortable embrace.
The beautiful view outside was compelling enough to draw anyone's attention towards it. But not Taehyung. He was rather immersed in the beauty sleeping in his arms with slightly parted lips and puffy, red face.
The lack of words, the silence was much welcomed. Taehyung was relieved to see Jungkook finally sleeping after crying his heart out; a horrendous sight, he wouldn't want to witness ever. He kept staring at Jungkook's face, drawing imaginary lines to measure Jungkook's to etch into his memory, not like he hadn't already. Even the scars couldn't supress the glory on Jungkook's face, something Taehyung always adored.
Jungkook shifted a little in his sleep but didn't wake up. Feeling his discomfort on the chair, Taehyung carefully picked him, not to wake him up, in bridal style and went towards the bed. He put Jungkook's sleeping body on the bed and sat beside. Taehyung slowly ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair while hesitantly went forward to press his lips on Jungkook's forehead.
Peace
That's what Taehyung felt. Friends can kiss on forehead right? It's not lips or something. Yeah completely platonic. (Wow the irony-)
Jungkook once again shifted a little to clutch Taehyung's shirt which made him fall back on the bed.
Holy shi-
And once again Taehyung's heart beat started running faster. He somehow calmed himself down and fixed his glasses. Meanwhile Jungkook buried his head in Taehyung's chest.
Calm down. He's just sleeping...
Taehyung tried looking elsewhere that's when his eyes got stuck on the tattoo on Jungkook's hand. The resemblance of white lily made him remember what Jungkook said earlier. The purpose of this tattoo was so pure, just like the flower itself. On the contrary, the person for whom the tattoo was for, was no longer in this world; a pure soul, so far away.
Taehyung remembered Jungkook's exact words. How that bastārd forced Jungkook to have a tattoo just because it would attract more so-called customers. And even in this situation, Jungkook managed to take out such a beautiful meaning to it.
His baby. The one who was gone too early before even seeing the light of the world properly. Jungkook could have hated the little soul if he wanted because she was not born out of love but he chose to cherish her memory even it meant for only few seconds.
Taehyung couldn't explain his emotions anymore. Was it love? Pride? Respect? All of them? He didn't know anymore.
And then it slowly hit him. Jungkook was one of the rarest males. The one who almost became a myth because of its rareness. At first he thought, Jungkook might have been talking about his girlfriend or something but when he told further, everything became crystal clear to Taehyung. At that time, the only thing he wanted to do was to burn Kunwoo alive with his minions. It was hard for him to not react negatively in front of Jungkook. But thankfully he managed it.
Taehyung felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He took it out to see Jimin's message.
Jimin : Tae! What's up
Network is horrible here!! Finally got it now 😩
Will be there next week
We're fine here
Joonie said hi
Don't miss me too much 😗
Taehyung didn't inform Jimin anything. He was now in a remote area with Namjoon because of his office work. So he decided not to disturb him right now and the network being horrible there worked as an excuse too.
