You blinked your eyes multiple times as you rolled onto your back and sat up. You yawned while stretching your body. You looked up before groaning at the sight of the old bedroom again.
You turned your head to the door and found the cheese crumbs you used as bait we gone. You grew a smile as you hurriedly went to the living room and kneeled at the small door. You tried to pull the door but it wouldn't open. You frowned in confusion before you realized the cause of it.
You sighed under your breath as you went back to your routine and tried to find the time to talk things out with your husband.

You were riding with your husband in his car, he was going to his office to present his project that he had worked on for so long. Before he headed to his office, he would send you to the supermarket, so you could go food shopping. Now you both were parking in the supermarket's parking lot.
"There were garden squash like balloon animals and snapdragons. The fruit was so juicy and delicious. Oh, and upstairs, I saw a real mouse circus. Hoping that Mr. B will make it like that one day." You said with dreamy eyes but they soon vanished as (Husband's name) only focused on his finished project, preparing himself for presentation and hopefully getting the promotion he always dreamed of.
He closed the computer before absentmindedly answering you, "Hmm? What did you say?"
You let out a disgruntled sigh before turning your head away from him. "Nothing. It's not like you'd listen to me anyway."
"Then you should know that I won't listen to anything when I'm working." He kept the computer back in his bag before he spoke, "And aren't you gonna leave the car? My office is far from the supermarket and I have to be there in 15 minutes."
"Yes. Yes. Yes. That's what you always cared about." said you with crossed arms, "You completely forgot to give me money."
"Oh." (Husband's name) picked up his wallet and gave you enough to buy groceries. "That should be enough. The rest will be for later."
"Not even what I want on my wish list?" (Husband's name) nodded in response. You kept the money in your wallet but before you left the car, you decided to discuss the door with him. "So what do you think is in the other apartment?"
You both sat in silence for a moment with your head turned away from him before (Husband's name) answered, "I don't know. Not a me imposter."
"Then why'd you lock the door?"
"Oh. I found some rat crap, and I thought you'd feel... safer."
You turned your head as you said with a raising voice. "They're jumping mice, (Husband's name), and the dreams aren't dangerous. They're the most fun I've had since we've moved here."
"What about the nursery you're so excited about?"
"It doesn't matter if you won't help me."
(Husband's name) let out a short sigh as he turned his head with a sad frown. "Look, (Y/N), if things go well today, I promise I'll make it up."
"That's what you always say." You sarcastically replied before you opened the door and left the car. You stood under the shade as it started raining. You looked at (Husband's name)s' car as he drove away. You then started to regret the words you spoke to him but you brushed it off and headed inside the supermarket.
