IT HAD BEEN TWO WEEKS SINCE ADDY WAS SENTENCED TO HER DEATH.

Well, tutoring with Percy Weasley three times a week was synonymous to death.

Honestly and truly, it had been her worst nightmare. Addy had to spare not one, not two, but three nights out of her week that she usually spent gossipping with Carina and Bronwyn or drinking on the roof of the Astronomy Tower with the team. It had been a rather dull two weeks for Addy Flemming.

However, today was one of her favorite days of the year. Addy has many favorite days – Christmas Day, the first Fall Quidditch game, the first Spring Quidditch game, New Years – just to name a few. But today was one that ranked rather high in her list of favorite days of the year. Today was the first Quidditch practice of the year.

Addy ate, slept, and breathed Quidditch. It was her favorite sport, and truly what kept her motivated to stay at this school and attend her lessons with Percy three days a week – she couldn't imagine not being on the Slytherin Quidditch team.

But, she is nowhere near similar to Oliver Wood.

Addy was in good shape to be the captain of the team once Marcus Flint, the current captain, graduated this year. It was one of her biggest aspirations, and one that she had shared with her mum after her first year of school.

Addy dragged herself through all of her classes today, truly making an attempt to listen in every single one of them. She didn't want to catch any lip from Percy in their lesson today. But, once her last class ended and Professor Sprout dismissed her students for the day, Addy grabbed Carina and Adrian by the wrists and ran out of the classroom. She pushed at least three first years into the walls, and refused to let go of her two friends until they reached the locker room.

"Adelaide!" Carina spat as the trio made it into their locker room, rubbing her wrist, which was colored red from Addy's harsh grasp on it.

"I'm excited!" Addy exclaimed as she quickly changed into her practice wear, making sure to grab her broom and her gloves.

"I can tell, and so can my wrist." Carina replied. Addy grabbed her best friend's hand softly, bringing it up to her mouth and softly kissing it.

"Better?" Addy asked, and Carina nodded. She could never stay mad at Addy for too long.

"I better see all of you on the pitch in three minutes, ready to work!" Marcus Flint called out into the locker rooms, and Addy rolled her eyes. She really, really hated Marcus Flint.

However, she was fully prepared to get back onto the pitch, with her Nimbus 2000. Today wouldn't be as fun as a regular practice, because there were tryouts. But, at least she would be back on her new broom and in the air, beginning preparation for their first match in a month and a half against Gryffindor.

Addy and Carina grabbed their equipment and walked onto the pitch, greeting Adrian and the rest of her beloved teammates from the year before. It was standard Hogwarts Quidditch tradition that everyone had to try out for the team every year, nobody's spot was ever safe. However, the Slytherin Quidditch team hadn't changed in two years. They were a dream team, and nobody was ever able to touch them.

There were about twelve students at tryouts this year, which was remarkably low, considering the fact that last year, there were at least twenty five, and the year before, there were thirty. Addy glanced around, studying all of them. It was safe to say that she felt like the team wouldn't be changing at all this year.
