"Excuse me, do you need a second player?"

Y/n turned to face the owner of the voice, only to see the most handsome human being she had ever laid eyes upon, just standing right next to her and looking straight into her eyes with a blank expression on his face.

He was clad in a black hoodie that was pulled up over his head, making his black, fluffy hair, peak out from beneath the hood in soft, unruly, tufts, and a pair of light blue jeans that loosely fit him, and were slightly faded at the knees, and on his feet were white sneakers, that were cleaner and brighter than her roommate's brain.

"O-Oh- W-Wha- Me?"

The boy nodded, awaiting her flustered panic to pass so he could get a response from her.

"Y-Yeah! That'd be nice.." Y/n stated, nodding and avoiding looking into his eyes, turning back to look at the glowing screen of the machine before picking up her toy gun again.

He, too, picked up the second player toy gun, his eyes focused on it before he cocked it, and subtly examined it. His eyes darted back to the screen, then Y/n started the game.

The screen eventually shifted from the main menu to the game itself, giving Y/n and the boy a brief explaination, before throwing them into combat almost immediately.

The sudden realization hit Y/n like a brick; she had never played a shooting game before, let alone an arcade one. Panicking, she started aiming randomly and spamming all sorts of buttons on her toy gun.

The boy besides her let out a low 'tch' when he lost and was out of the game yet again. There was a respawn option, but it would be wiser to start over again, instead of repeatedly respawning and using up his card points when he still hasn't figured out how to properly beat this annoying game.

He looked over to Y/n, whose eyes were darting frantically around the screen while her fingers were spamming random buttons. Ultimately, he sweatdropped slightly, realizing that she had no idea what she was doing, and the fact she got further than most people who played and tried to beat this game was impressive.

Eventually, Y/n lost and pouted slightly, but then she heard the boy beside her speak, "You did really well"

She was caught off guard when he spoke up and she turned to face him, her eyes landing on his yellow ones, "O-Oh.. Thank you.."

"You don't play that often, yes?" He tilted his head, as Y/n felt herself heating up, at the face, neck, and even ears somehow. She shook her head and the handsome boy nodded, his black hair slightly bouncing with his head movement, "I figured as much"

Y/n slumped, the boy finding her enveloped in a dark, sad, and gloomy aura upon just simply hearing that line, as she thought he was making fun of her skills. He picked up on that and rubbed the back of his neck, sighing in the process, "It's not a bad thing"

"Oh good.." She murmured, the gloomy aura surrounding her dispersing, giggling sheepishly. Her hand slid over to the back of her hair to rub her head and try to distract herself from his dazzling yellow eyes. Y/n let out a little giggle, "You come here often? I just noticed this place despite living here for years now"

He tilted his head a little, a small smile present on his, "Yeah, more than I'd like to admit actually. I think I come here thrice a week if not more."

"That's... a lot, oh wow." She chuckled, "You must be a veteran in here or something along those lines"

"I wouldn't say that. I just happen to visit often" He shrugged, "There's nothing impressive about enjoying videogames"

"Youuuuuu... live around here?" Y/n asked curiously, trying to keep the conversation going on for as long as possible, and to her surprise, the boy nodded.

"In those apartments, just across from here" He stated simply, smiling softly at Y/n, and surely, she did her best to not faint.

The boy chuckled, holding his hand out for Y/n to take, "Heh, you're fun to talk to. Come, the arcade's emptying up, let's go play some more"
