Lisa stands in front of Jennie’s door wearing dark jeans, a white shirt with a comfy leather jacket, holding a bouquet filled with gardenia, tulips, and sweet peas, and a couple of mini bouquets. Since Tiffany and her fiance, Zach, was watching the kids, they decided that Lisa should pick her ufrom her house and drop Asher off. She’s already dropped Asher off and decided to walk back to her house so she can get ready.
She doorbells, waits for a couple of seconds, then rings doorbell again. When there was no answer, she grabs her keys from her pockets and opens the door. “C’mon, Kim, you’re killing me here!”
She hears a faint, “I’m coming!” from somewhere in the house.
She steps back and shuts the door again before ringing the doorbell again. Finally, Jennie opens the door and as usual Lisa felt her throat dry. As usual, Jennie looks beautiful, in a flowy shirt and dark jeans, her hair was slightly curled and her make up accentuated the eyes that Lisa loves so much.
“How do I look?” Jennie asks, striking a pose.
Lisa laughs. “Like a person,” she says jokingly.
Jennie nods. “Good, I was going for that.”
“You look beautiful, Jen,” Lisa says sincerely this time. She thrusts the bouquet of flowers to her. “I got you this.”
“Thanks, Lisa,” Jennie says as she takes them. “They’re beautiful. Let’s put them in water.” Jennie turns and goes back inside, Lisa following closely behind.
“Where’s Riley and Elle?” Lisa asks as she looks around the living room; it was cluttered with toys and some coloring pages were littered on the floor, Asher’s 3DS was splayed open next to it. Lisa grabs it and check to make sure it was off before closing the console.
“Weesa!” Ellie shouts as she runs down the hallway. She throws herself at Lisa, wrapping herself around her leg. “Hi, Weesa!”
“Hi, bug!” Lisa replies crouching a bit to return a hug. “I have something for you.”
“Pwesen!” Ellie says excitedly, as she stands up. “Where my pwesen?”
Lisa presents her with a mini bouquet of flowers similar to Jennie’s.
“Fowes!” Ellie exclaims. “So pwetty Weesa!”
“What do you say, Elle?” Jennie prompts as she grabs a mini vase from underneath the skin and fills it up as well.
“Thanks fow my pwetty fowes Weesa!” Ellie says, giving Lisa a hug.
“You’re welcome, bug,” Lisa replies, smiling as Ellie starts dancing with her flowers, chanting “Pwetty fowes!” underneath her breath.
“Alright, baby, let’s put your pretty flowers in water so they last longer,” Jennie says to her child. Ellie hands it over and watches, her little fingers holding onto the counter as she tries to see over it, as Jennie unwraps the bouquet, cuts the ends, puts the packet of vitamins in the water, and carefully arranges the flowers in the vase. “Put this on your bedside table. Don’t run. Walk, okay?” Jennie asks as she hands the vase to Ellie.
“I walks,” Ellie confirms, gently cupping the vase in her hands and walking to her room so slowly that it made Lisa laugh at how careful she’s being.
Riley and Asher come in from the backyard after playing with the dogs, Asher talking a mile a minute about presumably Pokemon and Riley nodding as if listening.
“Hey, munchkins,” Lisa greets the two. “Had fun outside?”
“Hi, Mama!” Asher greets back. “Yeah! We played with the dogs.”
