“Alright, I’ll see you when we get there,” Jennie tells Lisa as she puts Riley’s dress in the suitcase.

“Love you,” Lisa says.

"Love you too,” Jennie replies, blowing her a kiss that Lisa pretends to catch.

“LAAAAME!” Jennie hears Jisoo yell at Lisa through the speaker.

Lisa glares over her shoulder and yells back, “I don’t care! I’m in love! And you’re just-”

Jennie ends the FaceTime call, snickering to herself as she let the two friends bicker it out. It still amazes Jennie that those two have been friends for more than two decades the way they act.

“Asher, get your suit ready!” Jennie calls as she zips up Riley’s suitcase. She opens Ellie’s suitcase and laughs. Ellie has packed every single stuffed animal that she can fit including Riley’s anteater that she got from Lisa for her birthday. “Ellie!”

Ellie walks into the room, sipping a juice box that Bona probably gave her. “Hi, mommy.”

“Sweetie, I need you to choose just one stuffed animal okay?” Jennie asks Ellie as she unpacks her suitcase. “Just one.”

Ellie looks through her stuffed animals and picks up Riley’s anteater. “I choose this.”

“Baby, that’s Riley’s,” Jennie says. “Why don’t you give that back to her?”

“I take it for Riley,” Ellie informs her mother as she gives it to Jennie.

“Oh, you wanna take this toy for Riley?” Jennie asks. Ellie nods. “What about you do you wanna take a toy with you?”

Ellie shakes her head and points at the anteater. “Fow Riles.”

“Baby, choose a toy for you,” Jennie tells her.

Ellie walks over to her bookshelf and pulls out the illustrated version of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. “Hew, mommy,” she says giving it to her mom.

“Are you sure, sweetie?” Jennie asks.

Ellie nods before grabbing Riley’s anteater and walks out of the room. “I bing this to Riles.”

Jennie packs Ellie’s book as well as a Heimlich, knowing that Ellie will be looking for it once it was time to give her a nap.

“I’m ready, Jennie!” Asher says as he steps into the room, dragging his small suitcase behind him.

Jennie glances over her shoulder and does a double take, laughing when she sees Asher in his suit. “Asher, I said get your suit ready not get ready in your suit.”

Asher smiles, sheepishly as he rubs the back of his neck, looking so much like his mother. “Oh, I wanted to wear it already,” he explains. He pops the collar. “I look very dapper.”

“You look very handsome,” Jennie agrees, “but I need you to go change in the clothes I laid out for you, please. We still have a six-hour drive and Aunt Minnie’s wedding isn’t until two days from now. We don’t want you getting your suit dirty.”

“Okay,” Asher grumbles, going back to the guest room, that he now claims his, to change.

Jennie quickly looks through Asher’s bag, making sure that he has enough underwear to last the weekend. She was pleasantly surprised to see that Lisa actually packed enough underwear, pajamas, and outdoor clothes; then she remembered that Lisa has been doing it for seven years, almost eight now. She combines all three suitcases in one large suitcase so that they didn’t have to bring six suitcases.
