“Alright, kiddos! Let’s go!” Jennie yells as she holds the door open waiting for Riley and Asher to come down from their room.
Lisa and Ellie were already at Jisoo’s house, helping set up for their Friendsgiving dinner so Jennie picked up the two kids from school and had them do their homework while she fed the dogs and finished up some of her own work.
Jennie opens her mouth to yell again when two blurs run past her to the car parked in their driveway. She sighs and locks the door, following the two in her car.
“Ready to go?” Jennie asks as she watches them from the rearview mirror. Asher squirms in his seat, his eyes wide, his lips upturned in a huge smile. “You okay, there, Ash?”
Asher nods and unbuckles his seatbelt. He launches himself across the way and hugs Jennie around her neck. “Happy Friendsgiving, Jennie!”
Jennie smiles and pats the hands around her neck. “Happy Friendsgiving, Ash.”
“You’re my best friend!”
Riley gasps. “Rude! I thought I’m your best friend?!”
Asher lets go of Jennie and leans back into his seat, buckling himself. “You’re my young best friend, but Jennie is my old best friend because she’s way older than us.”
“How old do you think I am, buddy?” Jennie asks Asher.
Riley shakes her head towards Asher. “It’s a trap?”
“Aren’t you like... fifty?” Asher asks, ignoring Riley’s warning.
Riley facepalms while Jennie tries hard not to look offended. “Why don’t you try again, bud?”
“You don’t look a day over thirty?” Asher offers.
“Mommy’s like 25,” Riley whispers to Asher.
Asher gasps. "You don’t look a day over twenty?” Asher tries again.
Jennie had to smile at the kid’s persistence to get on her good side. “Thank you, sweetheart.”
Asher’s face lights up again. “Yeah I mean your gray hair doesn’t show much!”
“Oh my god,” Riley murmurs as Jennie gasps again.

“Mommy!” Ellie calls from her spot on a stepping stool by the counter, her curly hair pulled back into a bun on the top of her head, her face had streaks of flour on it and Lisa was nowhere in sight. “I making cookies!”
She drops a kiss on her head. “I see that baby,” Jennie says as she looks down on Ellie’s workspace and sees that it was actually an Easy Bake Oven type of thing. “Asher and Riley are in the family room playing with the Wii U already,” she informs Jisoo, who nods. “Why does Ellie have flour on her face?”
“She wanted to look like a real baker so she begged Bona and Lisa to put some flour on her face,” Jisoo replies as she continues to cook.
“Speaking of which, where are those two troublemakers?” Jennie asks as she sits on the counter.
Jisoo scoffs as she continues to stuff the turkey. “Those two abandoned me to go surfing.”
Jennie looks towards the wall of glass windows and sees two figures, shredding waves. “You need help, Chu?”
“Nah, I’m good,” Jisoo replies. “I just need to finish the turkey and we’ll be good to go. I finished the smoked salmon and Rosé and Suzy said they’ll be bringing some sides and Minnie and Jackson will also be bringing some food, but they said it was a surprise.”
