Avneet pov:

I woke up in the morning, feeling the familiar rush of pre-meeting jitters. It had been a week since my trip to the mall with Siddharth, and I had to admit, he was a strikingly attractive man. But he had this cold, distant demeanour that made him hard to read. As I got ready and went downstairs for breakfast, I chose a white three-piece suit that hugged my body perfectly.

I greeted my dad with a cheerful "Good morning," and we started eating breakfast. As we finished, we headed out to Siddharth's office. For some reason, I felt nervous. Today, I had to present at the meeting, and I would see him again. Just thinking about him made my heart race.We entered the building and were escorted to the meeting room. As I walked in, I saw a lot of familiar faces from the party. I entered with full confidence, maintaining a neutral expression. After some time, the door opened, and there he was, Mr. Cold himself, with an aura that instantly silenced the room. I had to admit, I was deeply impressed. He didn't glance at anyone as he walked to his chair and motioned for the meeting to start.

I stood up with confidence, took a deep breath, and walked toward the screen. Our eyes met, and my heart skipped a beat. I brushed off those thoughts and focused on my presentation. I could feel his intense gaze on me, but I chose to ignore it, even though it sent butterflies through my stomach.

As the presentation ended, I looked at him and saw him staring at me deeply. I cleared my throat and called out in my professional tone, "Mr. Nigam."

He stared at me for a moment, making me nervous that he might not have liked the presentation. He looked around the room and finally answered positively. I released the breath I didn't realize I was holding and allowed a small smile to escape my lips before quickly hiding it and returning to my seat. For the rest of the meeting, I could feel his gaze on me. It was so hard to maintain a straight face. Why was he looking at me like that? Was there something on my face? His gazes were doing something to my stomach, and it was driving me crazy.

As the meeting ended, everyone left the room until only three of us remained: my dad, him, and me. As everyone else departed, I noticed his expression softening slightly, though he still wore a cold look. He turned toward my dad and greeted him politely, but he didn't even glance at me. I felt a little strange, but I shrugged it off and said to my dad:

" Dad, I'm heading out. I've called for my car, so you can continue here."

"Sure, darling, but be safe," he replied.

"Of course, Dad."

**Sid's POV:**I just stared at her back as she walked out of the meeting room. Suddenly, I heard Shivay's Uncle's voice behind me.

Shivay: "Stop gazing, Siddharth," he said, his tone a mix of protectiveness and teasing.

I jolted my head toward him, speaking with a hesitant voice.

"I am not gazing at her."

Shivay: "When did I say you were gazing at Avni, young boy?"

I closed my eyes at my stupidity, choosing to ignore his words and looking down at the file in front of me.

Shivay: "You are a good-hearted guy, Siddharth. I know what's going on in your mind—revenge for your parents. I want the same. Complete your revenge, and you know I will help you. But after that, you have to live a life your parents would want for you, not a lifeless one."

As Shivay's Uncle said that, my hand clenched the file tighter. I understood what he was trying to say, but I felt that I was made for nothing but violence. I looked at him and saw him getting up from his seat. He patted my shoulder and said,

**Shivay:** "Sid, your dad was a very close friend of mine. He was a great support to me. Try to overcome your past, my boy."

He left the office, and I stared blankly at the wall. Anger surged through me, and I smashed the glass on my desk. The shattering sound brought Jai rushing in with a panicked face, but I dismissed him with a wave and stormed out of the building.

Driving at full speed, my hands clutched the steering wheel so tightly my knuckles turned white. I didn't care. I needed to go somewhere I could share my feelings and let out the storm brewing inside me.

Author Pov:

With the screeching sound of tyres, Sid reached the place. He blankly looked at the entrance of the graveyard and made his way toward two graves. That's when his shield broke, and a tear escaped his eye.

Sid: Hi, Mom. Hi, Dad. How are you? Are you having fun in heaven? I'm sure Dad must be getting scolded by you. I miss you both so much. I'm sorry I couldn't save you that day, but I promise I will avenge you. I'm very close to finding the main leader of that fucking gang. I promise to drain every ounce of blood from their bodies.

His voice quivered with emotion as he continued, pouring his heart out to the silent graves.

Sid: You know, Dad, Shivay's Uncle is just like you. Whenever I need advice, he's always there. And you both know he has a daughter, Avneet. But, Mom, Dad, whenever I'm with her, my heart races. Why does that happen? She's distracting me. I just want to take revenge, and I don't want anyone near me. Anyway, forget that. I came here because I was missing you. Now I'm going. Take care of yourselves.

At that moment, the world's most feared mafia leader was completely broken. The child within him suffered, craving the love he lost. The power of revenge was making him blind, but would Sid's attraction to Avneet be his strength or his weakness? Would he draw closer to her or keep his distance? Only destiny would decide.
