POV Travis
I was hyped for this day. Taylor was back for one more show in Arrowhead before her tour was ending in the US and she invited the whole team. The giddiness I felt was insane that morning when I opened my eyes. It felt like last year but this time I got to wake up next to the love of my life.
I decided to let her sleep some more since it was only 9am.
When I got downstairs I was greeted by Benji and Olivia who were fighting over a little ball.
I picked up Olivia and flipped her over my shoulder, I didn't want any noise to wake Taylor up. She needed as much rest as possible.
I fed the cats and flopped down on the couch eating some cereal. I wanted to wait for Taylor to wake up and have a proper breakfast with her.
The cats quickly settled down next to me, even Meredith decided to join us. That meant no more breathing or moving for me anymore, I didn't want to piss her off the first ten seconds.
I scrolled mindlessly through my phone when I was put in a group chat.
Patrick texted first explaining that in here were all people who were actually going to the concert that night. I smiled at the total of ten people, I liked everyone who was coming but I was most excited about Pat and Brit coming. I knew that both of them were equally as close with Tay as with me.
Then I saw Pat's second text and it made me grin immensely wide.
„Good morning Trav", Taylor said and made me close my phone immediately. I stood up and held my arms open for her. She obviously didn't waste a second and hugged me tightly. I kissed her hair and held her knowing that she always needed a few minutes to properly start the day, and cuddled always made it easier.
„How long have you been awake?"
„Almost two hours but it's absolutely fine. You looked like you needed the rest."
„I did. I was so tired from last night's show but I slept very well."
„That's good."
I smiled at her tired face and kissed her lips tenderly.
Taylor hummed and grinned happily and leaned back into my arms.
„I can hear your body eating itself Trav, didn't you eat something this morning?"
„I did, cereal. I wanted to eat with you."
Taylor's eyes went up to meet mine and she kissed my lips again.
„By the way Tay, you have no idea who joined me on the couch this morning."
Taylor's head whipped around.
„SHUT up she didn't."
„She did. I didn't dare to move an inch and she stayed for about twenty minutes before you cane down. I got to pet her."
Taylor laughed.
„She loves you. I have to keep an eye on her."
I smiled at her and joined her in the kitchen.
„I have to eat my usual pre concert breakfast, but I can make you some pancakes."
„No way. You have a show tonight. I might not be the next Gordon Ramsay but I will make your porridge. We have blueberries, strawberries and bananas. I already got some milk ready for your protein shake. You want something else?"
„God. You're perfect."
I looked over at Taylor who smiled at me with the look in her eyes I love the most. The „I'm-totally-gonna-marry-you-someday" look.
„It's the least I can do for you."
We shared one more long kiss before I banned her from the kitchen and sent her to the couch for some cuddles with her cats.
„I have to leave at like 3pm later. When are the guys coming?"
„We meet at the stadium at 6pm. So I'll leave at 5. Can I see you before your show?"
„Of course you can. I need my good luck kiss."
„Oh you will definitely get more than one."
Taylor giggled and leaned into my arms, her head on my chest.
„By the way, we will be about fifteen people, Pat and Brit will be there for sure. I think Andy as well. About eight of the guys and my parents."
„What that's amazing. I'm happy that so many members of the team are actually coming."
„Well I guess I make great ads for the show and convinced a few of 'em."
Taylor laughed and shook her head.
The morning and afternoon passed quickly. Taylor ran around the house to get everything she needed for her show.
„Bye Tay, see you later. I love you. Be safe."
I kissed her goodbye and watched as her driver drove away.
POV Taylor
The drive to Arrowhead was quite long due to traffic. I closed my eyes and laid my head back. I was utterly exhausted. My body ached so much. I didn't tell Travis because he would only feel bad and cancel everything the guys hand planned for today. I didn't want that. Besides, I only had a few more shows to go and two weeks off after tonight. Two weeks I definitely needed before heading to Canada.
„We're here Taylor."
„Oh, thank you. See you tonight."
I quickly walked inside and smiled when I saw a text from Travis. He sent me a picture of the cats with some Eras Tour bracelets Travis had brought home from some shows he's been to.
I got ready and a few minutes before the show I heard a knock.
„Hey honey", I smiled when Travis walked in.
„You look stunning Tay. Have an amazing show. I'll be cheering the loudest."
He kissed me gently and I rested my head against his chest. Hearing his heartbeat always calmed me down.
„You okay, babygirl?"
„Yeah."
„Only a few more shows to go and then we can cuddle every night. I can rub your feet and back. We can have a lot of sex and cook together."
„That sounds absolutely perfect."
„You can always tell me when you're exhausted, Tay. I can read you like a book. But you got this. I believe in you and when you're done tonight, I will cuddle you until you can't stand my arms anymore."
I smiled at him and kissed him gently.
„How do you always know what to say? I love you so much. Thank you. You're making me feel so much better."
A few minutes later I found myself unter the stage just about to go on. I already heard the crowd who was going wild. I smiled to myself remembering the last time I was here. I was heartbroken and about to give up on life and love but now I'm here with the most amazing boyfriend I could ever imagine. The thought of Travis gave me the rush of adrenaline and excitement I needed for the night.
When it was time for the surprise songs, I was giddy. Travis already knew my choices. I had a lot of football references and as a perfect finish, I sang so high school on the piano. I heard the whole crew cheering and looked up. They were waving at me, Brit, Donna and Trav were crying. God, how do I deserve these people.
By the time Karma started, I felt exhausted again but happy. The song started and I heard the crowd loosing their minds again. I was confused at first but when I looked up to the suite they were sitting in, I saw all of them wearing Karma jackets as well. Every single one of them. Not only were they red and gold, but Travis' jacket had a huge 13 on the back. He turned around to look straight into my eyes and for a second or two, I forgot to sing. And when I continued, I couldn't stop the tears from falling. The fans noticed right away and cheered me through the song. Not my best performance but who cared. I was in love and didn't care anymore if they didn't like my emotions in my voice.
When I came down from the stage I was immediately greeted by fifteen Karma jackets. I started crying even harder and threw myself into Travis' arms.
„Guys don't do that to me", I laughed while I tried to stop my tears.
„Thank you. I have no words for you. I am so grateful for you and having you and your support in my life. And I think that I need to change my jackets now."
„I'm glad you liked it honey. You deserve it."
Travis gave me a quick kiss.
„Who's idea was that?"
Travis smiled.
„You have to thank Brit and Pat."
I smiled at them and hugged both of them tightly.
„Thank you guys.
POV Travis
As I stood there watching Taylor chat with the whole team, I couldn't help but feel incredibly proud. I was proud of her for basically existing and being this wonderful human being. My heart almost burst with love.
„She's the one", mom suddenly whispered.
„Yes. I have no doubt about that."
The ending is weird, I'm sorry.
