Claudia's pov:

It was a Friday night and Giovanna, and I were hosting a dinner party with our friends. Suki, Kehlani, Raye, BK, and Alyssa aka Latto were all coming over, and I was excited to spend time with everyone.

As we sat around the table, laughing and catching up, "so gio.. how's it feel being a homewrecker?" Suki jokes sipping her drink causing everyone to burst into laughter. "mann what are you even talking about?" Gio rolled her eyes playfully, knowing that Suki always started some delusional shit. "comon, you knew that was my girl bruh, but it's okay cus she know where home is" she said leaning in to grab my hand. "and do" I replied laughing and grabbing her hand "y'all ugly" I looked over at kehlani and flipped her off "shut up wit yo Crayola colored ass" we both broke out laughing

"get off my girl bozo" Gio grabbed our hands a pulled them apart. "Oh, so y'all a thing like for real?" we all turned to look at Alyssa "yea we been for a lil while now" Gio said with a smile then looked back down at her plate. "I never thought that'd be your type Gio, based off the other girls you've dated of course." as the words came out of her mouth I choked on the wine I was currently sipping on.

"okayyy so how-" Bk started to say to move on from the situation but I wasn't having that. "Whatchu mean by that babes?" kept it cute. "nothing just I thought she liked thick curvy and pretty girls stuff like that" she laughed and cut into her steak. "I'm not pretty enough for you Alyssa?" I chuckled giving her my full attention.

"I mean when she was on my body bad she said I was her type, you the opposite. that's all." "don't do my bestie bitch" Raye chimed in "Bitch? somebody tell this trick how I get down" "stfu alligator pussy, don't try me." Alyssa and Raye stood up at the same time.

Gio grabbed me go make sure I don't go no where. And watched as the others tried to handle the situation. "Gio help" BK tried to grab her arm but she just held onto me tighter and pulled me back. " I gotta make sure mines straight first." She said dismissing Brooklyn.

"Ma, you ight? Don't get in that shit, they childish asl." She grabbed my chin and rubbed my face softly before going to help BK.

Kehlani and BK started to panic as the girls went back and forth and tried to get them to sit back down. "Suki grab Raye!" Kehlani yelled from across the table. Suki sat there and ate her food unbothered. " I kinda wanna see Raye beat her ass though... " "suki" BK practically begged "fine."

They got them to sit back down after some time. Suki calmed Raye down enough to get her to finish her food, and BK called an Uber for Alyssa, and I couldn't wait for it to get here. I was still bothered and couldn't chime back into the conversation. I just sat there and picked at my food still lowkey mad about the situation.

Gio rubbed my thigh and bent down to try and catch my eyes. "calm down ma, you okay? " Gio whispered between my neck and ear. "ion wanna talk right now. " I said plainly.

But as the night went on, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. Latto, who wasn't a close friend of ours, kept taking sneak disses at me and flirting with Giovanna. I could feel my blood boiling as she leaned in closer to Gio, whispering something in her ear that made her clear her throat and sit up straighter in her chair.

I tried to brush it off, but the more I watched them interact, the more upset I became. I excused myself from the table, needing a moment to collect my thoughts.

Giovanna followed me into the kitchen, wrapping her arms around me and asking what was wrong. "mama, don't let her get to you, she just an old groupie I used to fuck wit." Gio rubbed my back. I tried to explain how uncomfortable I felt with Latto's behavior, but I couldn't voice much of what I was feeling at the moment.

"her ass is made of recycled plastic anyway" she snickered but stopped as I wasn't laughing with her and backed up a bit. "I didn't know she was coming, honestly l lowkey forgot about her." I was hearing everything she was saying but couldn't bring myself to respond. "mama." she pulled me closer to her by my neck and left a small kiss there. "I love you."

"umm, hey we're about to play some games. Also she left, all good now." Kehlani popped in and reassured us. quietly holding up a "okay" sign to ask if we're ok. Giovanna just nodded and glanced down at my irritated face.

Kehlani, always the peacemaker, suggested we play a game to lighten the mood. but I just wanted to go bed knowing that I'd probably just bring the mood down. "Ima head upstairs." Was the only thing I said to her then walked away. Giovanna watched as I walked up the steps feeling bad that her girl is genuinely upset, and she doesn't know how to fix it.
