I rushed back to Claudia's apartment as soon as I got the call from her mom saying that she's over there now. My heart was racing as I tried to make sense of what could have happened. When Savanni and I arrived at the house, I saw Claudia sitting on the couch, bruised and shaken. Beyonce was holding her hand, trying to comfort her.
I felt a surge of anger and fear as I knelt down next to Claudia, examining her injuries. "Who did this to you, baby?" I asked, my voice trembling with emotion.
Claudia looked up at me, tears streaming down her face. "It was shay," she whispered. "She showed up at the apartment and started yelling at me. When I tried to get her to leave, she... she hit me."
I felt a wave of rage wash over me as I clenched my fists. Why must she continue harassing her like this? She was the most gentle and loving person I knew, and she didn't deserve any of this.
Beyonce put a hand on my shoulder, trying to calm me down. "The police are handling it, Gio," she said softly. "They're going to make sure she pays for what she did."
I took a deep breath, trying to compose myself. I knew I needed to be strong for Claudia right now. "I'm here for you, mama," I said, gently brushing a strand of hair away from her face. "I'll always protect you, no matter what. I'm sorry I wasn't here." I stroked her cheek
Nicki came out with some hot tea and handed claudia the mug and gave her a short smile before looking at me and glancing at beyonce.
"I'm down if you are Gio. " she said and crossed her arms
I looked at her confused seeing as beyonce immediately shook her head no.
"onika-" "down for what Nicki? "
She ignored beyonce and stared at me with a "you know what I mean" face.
