It had been a rough night since the incident with Alyssa, and I could tell that Claudia needed some space. I didn't want to push her or make things worse, so I decided to quietly pack my things and leave without saying anything. But as I was about to walk out the door, I heard a small voice calling out to me.
"Where ya goin?" It was Savanni, she was standing there with tears in her eyes, "we play now gio" My heart broke at the sight of her, and I couldn't bring myself to leave her like that. I knelt down and hugged her, "I think mama needs her house to herself for a while pretty" she really wanted me to stay and play with her for a little while longer.
"Stay in my room, you can have my bed gigi" she grabbed my hand trying to bring me further back into the house. "You are very tempting Vani but I can't baby" I played with her braids trying to calm her down.
Just then, Claudia came down the stairs, her face a mix of confusion and concern. "Baby, why are you leaving?" She asked me, I could see the hurt in her eyes. " I thought I'd give you space,it looked like you could-" she cut me off by grabbing my bag and throwing it on the couch. " I don't need space not from you at least, it was just a lot. I felt disrespected." She picked up Savanni and rubbed her back to stop her from crying. "I know mama, I'm sorry. " I said reaching for her but she backed up
"But what hurt when worse was that while it was going on you were radio silent. Letting her whisper in your ear and shit." She looked disappointed and never broke eye contact with me. "If I let another bitch do that shi-" "ight, let's not even go there cus you know better" I didn't even wanna think about that shit happening. "And you should know better too, I know you weren't entertaining her but I would've felt alone if it wasn't for Raye." She explained making me understand where I went wrong at.
-a lil later-
We all were sat down together, trying to calm Savanni down and talk through our problems. "I'm sorry I didn't back you up, and assumed you needed space without communicating with you first." She listened quietly, and then she opened up about how she was feeling after the incident with Alyssa.
We talked for hours, sharing our fears and insecurities, and slowly but surely, we started to heal the rift between us. Savanni played happily in the background, oblivious to the weight of the conversation we were having. By the end of the night, we had come to a better understanding of each other and had reaffirmed our love for one another.
As I lay in bed that night, holding Claudia close, I knew that we would get through this together. This is the healthiest relationship I've been in and I wanna keep it that way.

I snuggled closer to Giovanna, feeling her warmth against my skin as we lay in bed with Savanni and Harlow nestled between us. The soft glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the room, casting a warm and cozy atmosphere over us.
"Mommy, can we watch a movie?" Savanni asked, her big brown eyes wide with excitement.
"Yea baby. What movie do you wanna watch?" I replied, brushing a strand of hair away from her face.
Savanni thought for a moment before blurting out, "Can we watch Frozen again?" She asked petting Harlow's back
Giovanna chuckled, her deep voice rumbling through the room. "I think we've watched Frozen about a hundred times already, Savanni. How about we watch something new tonight?"
Savanni pouted for a moment before brightening up. "Okay, how about Gigi b's movie?"
I smiled at her enthusiasm. "Renaissance it is then. Let me find it on amazon."
As I scrolled through the movie options on the TV, Savanni snuggled closer to Giovanna, resting her head on her chest. I couldn't help but feel a surge of love for my little family, grateful for the happiness they brought into my life.
Suddenly, Savanni piped up, "Mommy, can I have a little brother?"
Giovanna burst out laughing, causing Savanni to giggle along with her. "Gio that's is not funny." I smile at the sound of their laughter filling the room.
"Sorry, bug, but Mommy said I can't give you a little brother," Gio said, ruffling her hair and pouting at me.
Savanni looked disappointed for a moment before brightening up again. "Okay, then can we get another puppy instead?"
Giovanna and I exchanged amused glances before nodding in agreement. "Yup, and you can bring him around and tell everyone he's your baby brother, they'll believe it based on some of the people in your mama's family." Gio laughed as I mean mugged her
"You dead wrong." I mouthed to her
As we settled in to watch the Renaissance movie, I couldn't help but think about what our future held. I imagined our kids running around the house, a mix of Giovanna's dark curls and my hazel eyes. The thought brought a smile to my face, knowing that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together as a family.
