Mom was off of work one day and we were getting ready to go swimming. I was feeling excited to try on my new bikini that I had gotten for my birthday, but when I looked in the mirror, my chest got heavy. I look so fat and ugly in this. I need to lose weight. "You ready?" Mom knocked on the door.
"One second!" I quickly changed into a different swimsuit with sleeves on it.

That night, I scrolled on TikTok, looking ways to lose weight. Most of them were unrealistic diets or an excessive amount of exercise. I decided that the best idea would be to just not eat.

A week later, the only thing that I had eaten was an apple. I went downstairs and mom had made me breakfast. My favorite chocolate chip pancakes and bacon. "Thanks" I smiled. I quickly ate the food and excused myself to the bathrooms. I leaned over the toilet and made myself throw up. "You okay in there?!" I heard mom standing on the other side of the door.
"Yeah" I lied, catching my breath.

Another week had gone by and I was starting to lose weight. At dinner, I sat in my chair, pushing my food around. "What's wrong?" Mom asked, "you usually love Spagetti"
"I'm just not hungry" I mumbled.
"Come with me" mom stood up and took me into my room. "I know you're not eating, Y/N"
"What? I am!" My stomach dropped as I realized that my mom found out. "You don't need to do this to yourself!" She hugged me.
Mom came back into the room with a plate of cookies.
"Just try to take a bite for me" she sat down by my side.
"I don't want to" I scoffed.
"You have to get better. This isn't alright"
"Fine" I grabbed the cookie and ate it.
"Good job, sweetie"

A few months later: It had been a few months and I felt much better, thanks to my mom.
