    Something isn't right.

As this thought flew through (Y/N)'s mind, she whirled around when the door behind her slammed open right after she had entered the room, Cassius standing there with a rather perplexed expression crossing his features. And when she saw him, when she met his eyes, that was all she needed to realize that he knew something she didn't.

"What is it?" She questioned as she pulled him aside, by now thoroughly anxious.

    "It's Olivia and Davan."

"Huh?" Her eyes widened, having expected Davan but not the other, having had no other thoughts of her after she had called her out to the back of the school so many weeks ago. "What happened with them? I heard that Davan fought Eun-ji this morning, but that's not what's going on now, is it?"

"Yeah, because... it's actually concerning you," Cassius groaned softly as he ran a hand through his rather ruffled white hair, most of the strands falling over his face as usual.

    "What? Why?"

"Well... Olivia holds a personal grudge against you for reasons I'm unsure of, and Davan hates both Eun-ji and Jay, and since those siblings are—" Cassius started to explain, only for (Y/N) to immediately cut him off.

    "Wait... they're siblings?"

    "You didn't know?"

"No, because no one ever told me, and they don't look that much alike," she muttered, frowning, trying to imagine them side by side.

    But, still...

What's going on now... why am I involved?

"No matter, though... both hate you for various reasons, and both want you gone, along with Eun-ji and Jay," Cassius continued as he then pulled (Y/N) into the hall upon spotting those that were trying to pry into their conversation, his hazel eyes growing colder at the fact. "And because they have ties to the Headmaster, they were going to try and have you forced out of the school. That was mainly the reason for this morning's incident."

    "So... it was staged, basically?"

"Yes. The only reason Eun-ji was let go wasn't because she's clear, but because Davan and Olivia are planning something else... something that now involves Jay."

"Wait, how do you know all of this?" (Y/N) held up a hand, curious.

    "From a friend."

    He didn't elaborate any further.

But she didn't need him to since she had all the information she needed. The only thing she found strange about the entire situation was how Jay was involved—Olivia favored Jay but Davan did not, so how did he factor into whatever they were planning? Pushing that question away for a later time, (Y/N) excused herself from Cassius and Chemistry to try and get her bearings.

But as she walked down the hall, the fluorescent lighting shining on the polished linoleum of the floor, her eyes suddenly widened.

The back of the school.

Eun-ji and Jay always get called there...

And that's where Olivia took me, too.

In a second, (Y/N) was running down the maze-like corridors of the school, a cold bead of sweat running down the back of her neck as the hairs on her arms raised from the chills that racked her body. She wasn't normally so rattled, but she knew that something had happened—something that she wasn't sure she could swallow.

And she was right.

For as she shoved open the doors to the outside and rounded the corner to where she heard the sounds of talking, she stopped dead in her tracks from the sight in front of her: Eun-ji and Olivia stood off to the side, ugly bruises already beginning to form on them while their clothes remained dirtied and torn, their expressions one of horror as they stared ahead. (Y/N) followed their gazes towards where Jay stood holding Davan up by the collar of his shirt whilst he beat him bloody.

It wasn't a fair fight.

Not by a long shot.

Davan was already struggling to even keep standing, by that point on his knees, his face almost unrecognizable as he spluttered for Jay to stop.

    But he didn't.

    His face was calm, deadly.

It was as if he didn't even hear Davan.

All there was was a murderous and silent rage behind his burning amber eyes, merely muttering out, "Apologize... Apologize... Apologize... Apologize... Apologize... you fucker."

    (Y/N) had had enough.

Making sure to run at a pace that wouldn't strain her healed leg, she grabbed Jay's arm and twisted it behind his back before sweeping his legs out from under him, then planting her foot down—successfully immobilizing him. He seemed shocked by her appearance, only this allowing him to finally snap out of his rather unhinged state.

    Davan collapsed, unconscious.

"Olivia! Go get a damn teacher!" (Y/N) ordered at the girl, the only time she actively listened to her without question. "And Eun-ji, what happened!?"

"I don't know..." she shook her head. "They were already fighting when I got here."

(Y/N) chewed nervously on her lip.

Turning her gaze down towards Jay who wasn't struggling in the least, instead his face like that of a mask, she then demanded, "Jay. What happened? I already know that Davan and Olivia were up to something... but I know that that reason isn't enough to get you worked up like this, so what?"

    He merely scoffed.

    He couldn't tell her.

    And his irritation merely grew.

He insulted you to my face, (Y/N)... how was I just supposed to let that go?

    And my reaction...

    He found it fucking hilarious.

Gritting his teeth, and by pure force, he stood back to his feet and shook (Y/N) off of him, raising his hands to show that he wouldn't do anything more, his face bruised from the one hit that Davan got in and now when she forced him to the ground. His knuckles took the worst damage, however, the skin torn that allowed blood to drip to the ground.

    But he felt no pain.

All he could do was think about (Y/N).

    I'm sorry.

I can't answer your question, for if I did, you would know that my feelings for you extend far beyond what they should be.
