Aiko continued to train day and night, a burning passion inside of her that made her keep going. She practiced her martial arts skills and noticed improvements on her artistry as she progressed throughout the days. The girl trained with other Hashira and Giyu on some weeks, and Urokodaki as well. The mentor took notes about Aiko's proficiency during instructions and agreed mentally in his head that she was doing great so far in training.
The dark brown eyed girl had Yasu's hair tie in her hair, which was half-up in a bun and half-down, reaching around the lower part of her back. Her bangs were out freely, shaping her face perfectly. Aiko still had her bright personality, knowing that Yasu and her dad would appreciate it if she continued to brighten up people's days with her smile and outgoing character.
Giyu sprinted through the forest, his usual stoic expression glued onto his face as his feet crunched in the snow. Once he felt like he was close to his old mentor's minka, he heard some heavy pants coming from someone. The raven hair man ran closer to the sound, and when he noticed the familiar person's heavy breathing, the Hashira halted to a stop.
He gazed at Aiko who was doing push-ups, her cheeks cold and red as she was exercising in the freezing cold. "Four-hundred!" Giyu heard her exclaim, her body instantly falling towards the ground as she groaned.
"Aiko."
The mentioned girl's eyes widened at the voice, and instantly whipped her head toward the direction of the voice. Aiko's lips tugged into a wide small, her face showing genuine happiness and enthusiasm as she gazed at Water Hashira standing a few feet away from her. "Giyu!" She pushed herself up from the snow and started running towards her friend, arms out as she was coming in with a hug.
The man noticed and stayed standing his place, waiting for the expected embrace from Aiko. The girl engulfed Giyu into a hug, her cheek against his chest as she beamed. The man only patted her head affectionately as he glanced down at her, returning the gesture.
Aiko pulled away, her smile never wavering since she saw Giyu. "Hello, Giyu! How's your morning?" She asked, "It's good. How is yours so far?" He replied as his face continued to have a nonchalant expression. "Mine morning is going great! Just getting ready for training. Warming up, you know?" She placed her hands on her hips as her body shivered slightly from the cold.
The Water Hashira noticed, "Aren't you freezing out here?" He asked. Aiko shook her head, "Nope! I'm perfectly fine!" She cheekily smiled. Giyu nodded and ruffled her hair slightly, "Alright..." He mumbled as his gaze landed upon Urokodaki's house.
"How's Urokodaki?" He asked, "He's fine. Everyday he keeps pushing and pushing me past my limits, so I've definitely became stronger." Aiko spoke. "Urokodaki has been keeping track of my skills and progress of my martial arts every week, and he states that I'm enhancing greatly!" She finished, confidence written in her voice.
The Water Hashira nodded his head in response. Then, a sound of a door sliding open caught the attention of the student and demon slayer as they looked towards the sound. The dark milk tea hair girl grinned at the person, "Good morning, Urokodaki!" She waved. The mentioned man only nodded and walked towards Giyu and Aiko. "Good morning, you two." His glance then turned to his old student.
