Since Tanjiro had joined in training to become a Demon Slayer right beside Aiko, he instantly started training with her. They trained and trained until dusk, determined throughout their instruction as they did different things and workouts based on simple skills that a Demon Slayer must have.

Through the days of training, Tanjiro and Aiko grew close. Since they lived in the same house, and they did training together, it's no wonder how they became friends easily. Aiko learned about what happened to Nezuko and why Tanjiro wanted to fight as a Demon Slayer, and she couldn't help but admire the determination the burgundy boy had in to becoming a Demon slayer.

Tanjiro shared the same admiration with Aiko once she told him that she promised her older brother and dad that she'll become a Demon Slayer for them, no matter what. That was all he was told from Aiko. She didn't like talking about what happened to her brother and dad, she just didn't feel comfortable talking about it. Tanjiro also had grew to know that the girl knows a few martial arts, to which he was awed at. She's not exactly a professional in the martial arts, but is pretty skilled through forms and techniques of it.

"I am a trainer. I literally train swordsmen and women. There are many trainers, and each of them trains their pupils with their regimen at their location. They educate their students with their own methods. To join the Demon Slayer Corps, you two must survive the Final Selection at Mount Fujikasane. I will decide whether or not you guys are eligible for Final Selection."

After Urokodaki's explanation, the two students were quick to acknowledge him and start training. Tanjiro and Aiko were sprinting down the mountain again, dodging and avoiding the hidden traps. Tanjiro barely dodged the incoming log coming his way, but was quick to avoid it as he ran. The boy noticed he had gotten stronger and was able to move faster as he rapidly avoided the obstacles, improving on his endurance, agility, and stamina.

He and Aiko noticed that Urokodaki put obstacles that were even more deadly than the other ones, and the girl can't count how many times Tanjiro has saved her from the attacks because of his high sense of smell. Speaking of his nose, it's adapted incredibly well with the scents of the obstacles, making him have more awareness of the unexpected dangers.

The fatal and dangerous obstacles were things like knifes coming out of nowhere and directly towards them, and a pit full with sharp blades whenever you walk onto the trap.

Now, Tanjiro was in his room with Nezuko still asleep. It's been quite a while since she was awake by what Tanjiro had said, and he was really worried about her. He was anxious that his sister wouldn't wake up. The boy looked up from his journal he was writing in and glanced at his sister, who was peacefully asleep.

He let out a sigh, a frown placed on his lips. A soft knock was then heard on the door, "Come inside." Tanjiro spoke softly. The door quietly slid open, and a head popped out. It was Aiko, her usual smile on with her cheery and enthusiastic demeanor that always brightened up the atmosphere.

"Good morning, Tanjiro!" The dark milk tea hair girl greeted in a joyful tone. "Good morning, Aiko!" Tanjiro matched her tone with his own smile on his lips. Aiko walked into the room, stepping towards the boy. "Urokodaki is ready for us to train. He told me we're gonna be using swords!" She pumped up her fists excitedly, the burgundy hair boy beamed.

"Yay! That's so cool!" He smiled. Tanjiro then turned his gaze towards his sister, his smile faltering a little as he stared at her. Aiko noticed this and tilted her head slightly, "I thought you would be ecstatic about that." She chuckled. He whipped his head towards Aiko and waved his hands. "No! No, I am! It's Nezuko. I'm just...Worried. She hasn't woke up in what feels like years." Tanjiro spoke with anxiety written in his voice and tone, looking back at his little sister with sadness in his eyes.

The dark milk tea hair girl's face softened, feeling empathy for the burgundy hair boy. She stepped closer to him and sat next to him. Aiko placed a gentle hand on his shoulder, he glimpsed at her. A smile then curled upon her lips, a reassuring and warm look in her eyes as she kept her eyes on Tanjiro.

"Nezuko will wake up soon, I can feel it. Maybe what you could do is while she's sleeping, you could tell her what happened during training, how your day was, and what you've improved on while training or what you're trying to improve now forward on. Just tell her stories...Or, maybe sing one of her favorite songs." Aiko suggested with care laced in her voice.

"That'll make your sister know that you're with her, always." Tanjiro slightly flushed at her words, now feeling rest assured and relieved as he smiled gently. "Thank you, Kimura...I'll do that from now on."

"Oh, come on! Call me by my first name! We've known each other long enough for you to call me Aiko." The girl laughed, retracting her hand that was on his shoulder onto her lap. The burgundy hair boy nodded slowly, his eyes still on her. "Aiko..." She hummed, "...Thank you, for the advice." Tanjiro grinned warmly.

Before the girl was about to reply, someone clearing their throat caught their attention. They looked towards the direction, and their eyes doubled in size. It was Urokodaki, and he was getting impatient. They could even feel the aura surrounding him, making them terrified of the former Water Hashira.

"Aiko. I told you to get Tanjiro, not talk to him and waste the daylight outside."

"I'm—I'm sorry, Urokodaki! I—I was just—"

"Get yourselves out of the room right now and give me three-hundred pushes outside!"

Tanjiro and Aiko instantly stood up and bowed repeatedly, a comical scared expression on both their faces.

"Yes, sir!"
