Chapter Three: Texting? I Wish it was a Different Type of Texting
What just happened to me? The whole time going home, I was flabbergasted. I just met my two idols, who I think about all the time... especially late at night. The most shocking part is the fact they both asked for my number with the intention of asking me out. I cant believe this. My thoughts are interrupted as I suddenly remember I have both numbers in my pockets. I quickly whip out my phone and send them both a quick text message to let them know it is me. As I go to put my phone down I get a notification. Hmm I wonder who that could be.

"oh, hey Ryan!! It's Mathew obvi lol"

"i've just sent you a selfie so you can save it as your contact! :D"
I open up the photo, which is a cute selfie I've never seen before. He has just sent me a photo no one has seen before. How sweet. I realise he will probably want one back, so I think about how I'm going to pose for this photo. I bring my phone up high and make sure my huge scrumptious dump truck can be seen, and I make sure to smile cutely to make it look like it is accidentally added in. I look at the photos taken and pick the best one to send. As I am about to send it, I think about how I should reply to his message first. I am suddenly stumped. What do I say? I must sound cool and flirty but not weird.
"Omg thanks. You look so cute"
Oh crap. I didn't add any emojis or anything to sound genuine. Whatever, I'll save it with this.

Oh no. Does that sound too much? The emoji doesn't help. I should ask him something about himself so we can have a conversation.
"Lol, scratch that. I want to get to know you! What is your favourite food?"
Okay, that sounds more casual. I guess.
"haha, you're cute. I'm actually free tomorrow if you are down? 🫣"
"fav food is definitely chicken, especially fried chicken. Wbu??"
Omg, Mathew just called me cute. I can't believe this. Just as I am kicking my feet and smiling like crazy, I get a text from a different number

"I wish I didn't have to"
Omg, Mark? I don't even know what to say to that. He is so smooth. I am clearly not. Think Ryan. Be cool. You have experience now.

"How was your dinner?"
OKAY, that was actually a good reply. I'm so proud of myself.
For the rest of the night, I texted both guys. I'm so excited for tomorrow, as I have a date with Mathew. We are going to get Korean BBQ because he said he wants to shout at me. I am so shocked. Also, I will be going on my date with Mark the day after to get hot pot after I explained how stressed I was about my phone call earlier. My life is unreal.
