Oh, hi Mr. Victor. Its Nice meeting you. I am Zahra Zain.
Hi Zahra-
I would prefer you calling me by my surname please.
Chill out Ms. Zain I am just trying to be friendly. Well how is the work going?
It's fine. How about you?
Its fine. I must say you are really beautiful and elegant.
Thanks for the compliment.
Darling we need to go I need you to attend other guests as well.
*Said Mr. Zain.*
Ok coming Dad.
My lady you are really something. Let me see
your attitude some more.---
As the party continued in full swing, Zahra and Victor stood apart, the lively chatter around them contrasting sharply with their intense conversation. Zahra, her arms crossed and a smirk on her lips, challenged Victor with a sassy remark about his recent decisions.
Victor's gaze lingered on her, a mixture of admiration and frustration evident in his eyes.
You know, Zahra, your sharp wit is one of the things I find most intriguing about you,
*He said, his tone softening as he reached out to gently touch her arm.*
"But sometimes, I wonder if you really understand how much I value you."
Zahra pulled back slightly, a hint of surprise in her eyes.
Is that supposed to be a compliment or a challenge, Victor?
*He chucked, a genuine smile was on his lips.*
Maybe both. You keep me on my toes, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
As the evening wore on and guests began to drift away, Victor's interest in Zahra was unmistakable. His lingering gaze and the way he positioned himself close to her spoke volumes. Despite the playful banter, there was a deeper, more serious tone in his voice that Zahra couldn't ignore.
*As she made her way toward the exit, Victor caught up to her.*
Don't think you've heard the last of this conversation,
*He said, his voice is low and earnest.
There's more I want to discuss about us.**Zahra paused, her curiosity piqued.*
Us?
*Her voice echoed, raising an eyebrow.*
Victor's eyes met hers with a look that was both intense and vulnerable.
Yes. There's a lot more to talk about. Let's continue this soon.
As Zahra left the party, she couldn't shake the feeling that Victor's interest was more than just superficial. His words and the way he watched her lingered in her mind, hinting at a depth to their connection that she wasn't quite ready to explore.
Zahra stepped out into the cool night air, the city lights casting long shadows, her thoughts and a swirl of Victor's promises and her own feelings of uncertainties. What will happen next? Any guesses. Dont forget to like if you like the story. See ya.
