Uptown girl ~ benny rodriguez ~ the sandlot

Frank honked the horn in bennys driveway.
benny came running out with his suitcase in hand. ms. rodriguez came out and stood on the porch and watched benny.

i rolled down the limo window.

"it's nice to see you again ms. rodriguez!" i yelled

"hello roxanne!" she yelled back

benny quickly put his suitcase in the trunk then frank opened the door for him, benny hopped in.

"hi benny" molly says greeting herself

"benny remember what we talked about!" ms. rodriguez yelled

benny rolled his eyes then stuck his head out the window.

"bye ma!" he said ignoring what she said

he then rolled up the window as we drove off.

"what did you guys talk about?" i asked curiously

"oh um.. nothing important"  he said scratching the back of his head nervously
i shrugged as i sat back, eating the bugles frank leaves for me in the backseat of the limo cause she knows they are my favorite chips. the rest of the car ride was quiet but every once in a while i stole a few glances at benny and he looked very curious but nervous. he was looking out the window, i could tell a million thoughts were racing through his mind

we soon arrived at the warehouse where my private jet is stored and was ready for us to board it.

"wow" benny said as we pulled into the warehouse parking lot.
there were tons of paparazzi outside the fence waiting for us to arrive.

"what?" i snort
"you've never seen a private plane before?"

benny looks at me
"nope!"

we got out of the car and acted quickly. frank quickly got out and ran to the trunk to take out our bags, the pilot even came out to help him.

as soon as i stepped out of the car flashed from the cameras started going off. everybody yelling to 'look here!' but i ignored them.

benny hesitantly got out after me. we quickly walked to the steep stairs leading up to the plain and walked up them. i even turn back behind me at the last step to the paparazzi.

"benny turn around!" i whispered through my smiling teeth.
he turned around confused and everybody started going crazy, even more flashes started to go off.

we then hurriedly went into the plane as molly trailed behind us.

frank shut the door to the plane.

the paparazzi clearly confused benny a lot because me and molly both acted like nothing happened as we sat down in our seats.

i sat down in my seat peacefully and looked out the window. i then noticed benny was still standing up. i looked over to see his jaw dropped.

"what's wrong?"

"you have to go through that everyday?"
me and molly both laugh at his question

i quickly stopped laughing
"almost everyday.. not all the time"

benny just shakes his head in shock and sits right across from me.
the flight was 5 hours to new york. i sat and read my book quietly. about an hour in i noticed benny was still as anxious as ever. he was biting his fingernails while staring out the window.

i giggled
"why are you so nervous?" i laugh

he quickly stopped biting his nails and looked at me
"i don't know" he shrugged as he looked down
