*set in 1962*
15 year old Roxanne Watson who is a famous child movie star, moves from New york city to San Fernando Valley for a gig, she meets a group of boys who play baseball all-day-everyday. but one boy catches her eye...
We were walking back home from sneaking out, it was fun but all but the boys still haven't said anything to me. but we all ended up getting a few pops then we got bored so we left.
me and dawn were walking infront of them again. it was silent, way too silent. all you could hear is me and dawns shoes clacking against the ground and the sound of us slurping our cokes.
when we got back to the house, we didn't have to go through the window this time because we can just go through the front door. we tried to open the door but it wouldn't budge.
"scotty you idiot you locked the door behind us when we left!" dawn says whisper yelling at scotty.
"well what do we do now? i am not gonna be stuck out here all night!" i whisper
"we can just go through my bedroom window i guess" we walked around the side of the house and quietly opened the window. me and dawn leaped over the side and into her room. one by one the boys all leaped over to, most of them falling on the ground. benny was the last to come in through the window. he lifted his leg over them jumped over, landing perfectly. benny looked at me with a straight face then walked out of dawns room.
squints was pretending to walk out but then curved to the side and into her closet.
"get out of here you perv!" dawn says dragging him out of the closet then pushing him out of the doorway slamming the door in his face.
dawn shakes her head "god i hate his friends"
me and dawn laid on the bed in defeat. our hair falling out and our makeup all smudged.
"god i just remembered i have to go to this stupid party with phillips tomorrow.. and benny is going to"
"oh your going to maybells party too?" dawn asked
"yeah you know her?"
"no.. but i know her boyfriend because he would go to phillips baseball games and stuff"
"so im guessing they invited a lot of people"
"yep they do every year.. its a huge thing in the valley apparently. it'll make it even bigger if your there, probably make it on the news" she laughs as i giggle at her.
"i'm gonna head to sleep" dawn says rolling over
"your not gonna take off your makeup?" i ask her concerned
"nah, i'll do it before my mom wakes up" she says almost instantly passing out. I shrugged and slowly got out of her bed trying not to wake her. i grabbed my duffle bag molly had dropped off for me and walked out of her room slowly.
the bathroom wasn't far down the hallway but it was near the living room. i walked into the bathroom but noticed that all the boys were asleep as well in the living room. it was very quiet and all i could hear was the ticking of a clock.
I closed the door quietly. then looked in her bathroom drawer for something to remove my makeup. i grabbed a bottle of 'ponds cold cream' and gently washed off my makeup with it. I took out the pajamas molly packed me and they were nothing i would ever wear to bed. it was a a pink lose fitted tank top with a pair of frailly pink shorts.
