They had finally arrived at the mansion. As soon as they stepped out of the car, Charlize suddenly lunged forward, wrapping her arms around Evary in a tight embrace. Without warning, she hid her face in Evary's chest and whispered, her voice soft.

"Please...please, don't ever leave me there again."

Taken aback by the sudden display of affection, Evary was still for a moment. She could feel the girl's small frame around her. Then, she gently wrapped her arms around the girl, drawing her closer; a pang of guilt hitting her. "I...I won't."

"I'm sorry," she replied, her voice equally soft. "Never again, I promise."

Charlize held on to Evary tightly, her face still hidden. She didn't want to let her go.

Evary held the girl tight, reassuring her. "I'm so sorry," she repeated. "I didn't mean to leave you there. I'm here now, and I'm not going anywhere."

"Come on," Evary said softly, offering a small smile. " Let's get inside, okay?"

Charlize slowly pulled back slightly, looking up at Evary, nodding.

In the next few days, Evary had managed to get her friend, Dr. Amelie Kwon, one of the best neurologist from the hospital, to examine Charlize. However, her friend, a renowned neurologist, didn't find anything out of the norm.

"There doesn't seem to be any physical damage," Dr. Kwon informed her, a mixture of puzzlement and curiosity in her voice. "It's possible that she's simply forgotten everything due to a psychological response, a form of self-defense against trauma or something. She might regain her memories with time."
