The next morning, Evary woke up with a mix of emotions in her chest. She remembered the previous night's events all too vividly. The shower, the feel of Charlize's body against her own...it was all too clear in her mind.
She sat up in bed, sighing heavily. She felt guilty. Guilty for what had happened, for the way her own darker desires had flared up. Even more so for the fact that, despite everything, she had enjoyed it. Enjoyed the feeling of having Charlize at her mercy.
Feeling sick with herself, she knew she had to stay away from the princess today. To pretend everything was fine and normal, and that the events of the night before were a one-off, never to be repeated.
She couldn't, wouldn't, let her own desires get the best of her again.
She got up and began to dress, her movements slow and a bit forced. Her mind was still a mess of thoughts and feelings.
As she got ready, Evary couldn't help but recall the way Charlize's small, innocent body felt against hers in the shower.
Every time she thought about the look in Charlize's eyes as she'd held her in the shower, a shiver ran down her spine. That innocent, trusting gaze had stirred something in her that she didn't want to acknowledge.
She pushed those thoughts away. She couldn't think like that, not about a girl so much younger than her.
As she buttoned her shirt, she promised herself that she would keep her distance. She couldn't trust herself around the girl not to lose control again.
As she made her way out of her room, she tried to push the thoughts to the back of her mind. Today, she had to focus, like nothing had happened.

Charlize, having woken up alone in her room, was feeling a bit confused and abandoned. She'd expected Evary to come and wake her up like she had done on previous days, but the woman was nowhere to be found.
Curious and a little hurt, Charlize decided to go look for her. She wandered the halls in her nightdress, the material soft and lightweight against her skin.
She remembered where Evary's room was, and so she padded over to the room and gently knocked on the door.

Evary had stepped out of her room, intending to go to the kitchen, when she saw Charlize turning the corner into the hallway.
Panic and guilt washed over her as she realized the girl was heading right to her room. With barely a second to spare, Evary quickly ducked back around the corner to avoid her sight, hoping and praying that Charlize hadn't seen her.
Heart pounding, she peeked around the corner, watching anxiously as Charlize arrived at the closed door, standing there and knocking on her empty room, waiting for a response that would never come.
