23~ Shattered Illusions

Hoseok carefully tucked his babies into bed, ensuring they were snug and comfortable. He kissed each of their foreheads softly, his heart swelling with love for his little ones. He lingered for a moment, watching their peaceful expressions. After tucking them to bed, he sat on the edge of the bed, tears streaming down his face. Yoongi had dropped him and the babies off, offering to stay the night, but Hoseok had declined. He couldn't bear to see Yoongi right now; he needed time alone to sort through his feelings.

Sniffling, he ran his fingers through Jungkook's hair, finding some comfort in the soft, rhythmic motion. He felt a deep ache in his chest, his thoughts spiraling into self-deprecation.

"How could I have been so stupid?" he whispered to himself, shaking his head. "What was I thinking? That Yoongi would fall in love with someone like me? I'm so naive."

He slapped his forehead lightly, the physical sting grounding him momentarily. "I'm just his slut," he continued, voice choked with emotion. "Just here to lie down and let him fuck me until he's satisfied. Just a puppet."

The more Hoseok thought about it, the more convinced he became that Yoongi saw him as nothing more than a convenient body. All the gifts, the clothes, they weren't signs of affection—they were attempts to change him, to mold him into something more acceptable in Yoongi's world.

"That's why he kept buying me things," Hoseok muttered bitterly. "Because I disgust him. He didn't want to be seen with someone like me, someone he considered a rag."

Hoseok's self-esteem, already fragile, felt like it was crumbling entirely. He sighed deeply, the sound filled with sadness and resignation. Lying down beside Jungkook, he continued to stroke the child's hair, his tears falling onto the pillows. He drifted off to sleep, hoping for tomorrow to be a good day.
