'were two worlds apart. from far away, I wish I'd stayed with you. but here, face to face, a stranger than I once knew.'
I knocked on her door that had intricate rose patterns on it along with the story of her mother along the top of it in picture form.
She opened the door and smiled pulling me in my wrist.
I looked around her room it was straight pink, everything pink which was not one of my favorite colors i found it kind of ugly.
"Have you got anything to spill?" she asked me and I shrugged sitting down with her on her couch in front of the fireplace that wasn't going since it was hot outside but it was starting to get colder.
"Nothing really, nothing interesting has been going on with me recently," I said and she looked at me confused.
"Have you, not the rumors?" she asked and I looked up at her not even surprised there were so many rumors about me I couldn't even count.
"What going around about now?" I sighed and asked and she chuckled.
"People have been saying that Chad's going to ask you something at the ball," she said and my eyes went wide as my head snapped to hers.
"Like what?" I asked nervous and she giggled.
"What do you think?" she asked suspiciously." come on Lexi we've been waiting to have our perfect wedding for years remember when I and I used to look at dress magazines all the time?" she asked and I was in shock.
"Well yeah but I didnt think I would be getting married at sixteen," I said and she scoffed.
"You're lucky and if he's trying to propose to you then that means Cinderella is struggling and wants you to start learning about her kingdom and how to take care of it as she and Prince Charming do." she said and I sighed covering my face with my hands." listen I know you're not a big fan about it but you don't exactly have a choice you should be happy about this the sooner you get married, the sooner you'll be queen," she said and the realization hit me I picked up the cookies and walked out of the room.
Im not prepared for this, im not fit to be a queen I've said this many times a little too many times.
I closed my door and leaned against my breath coming out shakily.
It's been a week since my talk with Audrey and I still have not forgotten what she said but I need to get over it this is for the better.
It was the day before the ball and I was getting my fittings done for my dress.
The tailor we hired was very nice and respectful to me.
She showed me the dress and I was in love with it but it was a little too big for my taste but it was just like my mom's when she and my father the beast danced together in the ballroom in the castle.
I put the dress on and admired myself while the two of us picked out some jewelry to go with it.
I left the room an hour later my dress would be delivered to my room in like thirty minutes so I wouldn't need to worry about anyone seeing it before the reveal at the ball.
I set all the jewelry and accessories that we chose down and heard a knock on my door.
I opened it and saw the woman and she had the dress in a protective bag in her hands.
"Here you go Princess Alexia," she said and I smiled.
"Thank you so much for helping me." she smiled at me and left to go deliver someone else's dress probably.
It was getting late so I decided to go to the kitchen inside my family's castle where everyone would be at this time.
I walked in and smiled at Mrs. Potts" Hello, Mrs. Potts." I said and she turned around and distracted herself from making tea she smiled at me and walked over and hugged me.
"Hello dear, are you ready for tomorrow?" she asked and I sighed not ready to be proposed to." you heard the rumors." she sighed and I nodded."it's okay sweetheart even if it does happen it's only for the better," she said.
"Are you sure cause that Chad dude is a jerk?" I heard Lumiere's voice from the doors he was leaning against and I smiled at him and nodded in agreement.
"Yeah he is but our marriage has been planned out for years, I just didnt expect it to be so soon." I sighed and lifted myself onto the counter crossing my ankles together.
"Im sorry dear I know it's not the best but again it's for the better cinderellas not going to be mighty forever," she said and I nodded.
"Yeah but I just don't see myself as a queen," I said and put my head in my hands they both came over and Mrs. Potts rubbed my back as Lumiere just stood there and tried to comfort me.
"What's going on in here." I heard my mother's voice i looked up and she gasped running over to me."what's wrong honey." she asked me and I shook my head.
"Im not ready to get married," I said and she looked at me as sadness filled her eyes.
"You can say no if you want, no one is making you though your father would be mad for ruining our reunion between both kingdoms. We will talk about this more tomorrow but right now you need sleep," she said helping me off the counter and walking with me to my room.
She kissed my forehead before she left the room to go to sleep herself.
I looked at the bag that held my dress and sighed making up in my mind that I would say yes just for my father.
I woke up with the sun coming through my yellow curtains I looked at my side table and saw the famous rose that I stared at constantly it always reminded me that my mother fell in love with a monster a villain at first and that I had endless opportunities but I was nervous for the villain kids to arrive me and my brother were going to have a meeting about who we are bringing to Auradon and off of the isle, I already choose my two though, Carlos Devill, and Evie Queen.
