Chapter 4| tale as old as time

As I and Chad walked around seeing many familiar faces people said congratulations to us every second but suddenly my ears were filled with a very familiar song on the stage at the front I noticed two more people who I hadn't seen in forever but they were still part of the family.

As the song started my mother and father started dancing and Ben and Audrey joined them I turned to Chad who was already smiling at me.

He took my hand and led me to the floor as the song pushed on.

"Tale as old as time"I heard Mrs.Potts singing and I smiled at her."true as it can be."

Chad started to dance with me and I smiled up at him as he twirled me around, it seemed like the world stopped.

"Barely even friends then somebody bends unexpectedly." she sang as we continued.

"Just a little change."I noticed Ben and Audrey had stopped dancing and were watching the other two couples on the floor.

"Small to say the least both a little scared neither one prepared, Beauty and the Beast." she sang and I smiled.

"Ever just the same." she sang loudly and Chad picked me up and twirled me around and I smiled."ever a surprise ever as before ever just as sure as the sun will rise."

I noticed my parents stopped dancing and it was just me and Chad this must've been planned cause as soon as they did a yellow spotlight followed us around the ballroom floor.

"Tale as old as time true as old as song bittersweet and strange finding you can change learning you were wrong."

"Certain as the Sun Rising in the East Tale as Old as Time Song as Old as Rhyme Beauty and the Beast." she paused and the song got slower as we just slow danced together."tale as Old as Time Song as Old as rhyme." he twirled me slowly." beauty and the beast." he dipped me on the last part and I smiled up at him.

He lifted me slowly and my smile faded if only I could do this with someone I honestly love.

Mrs. Potts noticed this and came over and held my shoulder motioning me to come with her.

we walked out of the room and onto the balcony where I held my head in my hands."I don't love him."I admitted as she rubbed my back.

"I know dear one, it's going to be alright I have a feeling great things are coming," she said and I looked at her.

"how can good things be coming If I just got engaged to a man I don't love!"I almost yelled as I was sobbing now.

"I know it's okay, I understand how hard life can be sometimes trust me I was a teapot for like 10 years," she said and I chuckled.

"I just want to leave this dreadful island," I said and she looked at me shocked.

"you mean to go to the isle of the lost," she said hesitantly and I nodded.

"it's better than here," I said and she looked down as we looked over the ocean and over to the isle of the lost, little did I know that a certain boy was looking directly at the two of us but didn't realize it either as he dreamed of meeting someone to love and create a family with, he always dreamed of some brunette but she was betrothed to another he felt.

"do you ever wonder if someone is staring right at you but they don't realize it as you're staring at them also but don't realize cause the islands are so far apart?"I broke the silence between us.

"what do you mean," she asked curiously looking up at me cause she was a small woman.

"I mean do you ever wonder if people are looking at our island while we look at there's, "I said more clearly this time and she hummed thinking about it.

"hmm, I've never thought of it like that before," she admitted and I nodded.

"I think about every time I look at the Isle, I can't help but wonder if... if I would just go there I'd find someone to truly love," I said and her eyes widened.

"your parents would never allow that though," she said and I nodded.

"I'm sorry I'm putting this all onto you, I just can't help but think about if I were there instead of here."

She looked at me while I was looking at the Isle and whispered something I didn't hear."there may be something there that wasn't there before." she smiled to herself as she looked at me gazing out to the island.

carlos's pov

"Eve, do you ever wonder if you would find love if we were born in Auradon?"I asked Evie as she walked up to me on the balcony of our parent's hang-out spot.

"I don't know Carlos, do you?" she asked smirking and nudging me I nudged her back and she sighed."yeah I do."

"do you ever have dreams about who you dream to have a life with?"I asked and she looked at me surprised and I sighed looking back out to the island we've been banned from."I have these dreams of a very beautiful brunette but I can't help but feel she's betrothed to another."I said and she smiled at me.

"Thanks for sharing that with me Carlos, but you know we would never be allowed to go there though," she said and I sighed again and looked down at my hands.

lexis pov

"you can go to your room if you need deary I will tell your parents you needed to think about some stuff so you went to your room to think." Mrs. Potts broke the silence that came over us seconds ago and I nodded heading back into the room and avoiding my parents, Chad, and ben which was rare for me cause we were attached at the hip ever since we were born but I've been more distant with him recently ever since the idea of me and chad getting married popped in my head.

So after I ran up the stairs as tears poured from my eyes I ran to my room at my parent's castle this time.
