The sun had set completely when Bosco shivered, rubbing her arms for warmth. She had lost track of time, making panic surge through her. "I should probably get home-" She said, standing up from the piano bench. "Before my sister gets mad at me again."

Daya frowned, but she knew she'd have to let her go. Until she looked out the window to see how dark it was outside. The thought of Bosco walking through that made her uneasy. "I don't know..." She said softly. "It's dangerous out there alone at night. And I can't leave to take you home."

Bosco hadn't felt threatened by the vampire. Daya hadn't made any move that suggested she'd try anything to harm her. But she was unsure about staying the night again. The trust hadn't been built up completely. "I-I don't know..." She said. "I just don't want...um..."

"I'm not gonna hurt you." Daya whispered, looking down at her hands that traced the piano keys. "I just want you to be safe. But if you do want to go home, I'll find a light for you and something to protect yourself with."

Bosco watched her stand up and start to lead the way out of the room. But the smaller girl started to feel an ache in her heart as she followed. She pulled her phone out from her pocket, finding a text from Irene that had been sent just a few minutes ago. Her sister was asking where she was, and Bosco had no idea what to tell her.

Daya opened up a closet door, looking over her shoulder at Bosco when she saw the light from the phone. "...What is that?"

Bosco looked up at her as she thought about what to respond to her sister with. She hadn't even thought that Daya wouldn't know what technology was exactly. "It's a phone. I use it to talk to people when I'm not near them."

Daya tilted her head in curiosity before she turned back to find what she needed to give Bosco. She didn't use these much. She never had to. Her teeth were enough. But she didn't want Bosco leaving without something she could protect herself with.

The more Bosco thought about it, the more she didn't really want to leave for the night. So she texted Irene back to tell her she would be staying with a friend. "You wouldn't mind me staying here again, would you?"

Daya turned back to her, her expression immediately changing. "I would love if you did. Would you like to?"

There was something about the excitement in her voice that was so pure, so innocent and hopeful. Bosco had to smile, despite the nerves that threatened to grow. "I'd like it, yeah. I...I think I can trust you."

Daya hadn't felt like this in a long, long time. She closed the closet up, relieved she didn't have to take anything out of it. Mainly because the things that were in there weren't safe for her. She immediately had an idea now that Bosco would be staying, excitedly reaching out for her hand. "Come with me?"

Bosco nodded, hardly thinking twice before she let the vampire take her hand. Immediately, her warmth was met by Daya's cold, the two seeping into each other. Daya led her up the familiar staircase to her bedroom. "I want to try something. But let's get you comfortable first."

Bosco was taken to Daya's bedroom, the candles lighting up when they stepped inside. The taller girl went to her wardrobe first, looking through the different clothes. "You can wear the robe I gave you yesterday." She said. "I don't mind. It's nice on you."

Bosco blushed when she was handed the silk robe. "O-Oh-" She stuttered. "Th-Thank you-"

Daya smiled, and the creatures in the room with them hadn't seen her like this in a very long time. "You can change and get comfortable. I'm gonna go find something real quick."

Bosco nodded and thanked her again, watching her leave the bedroom with two of the crows following after her. The smaller girl was still for a moment before she started to undress and pull the robe on. It was one of the most comfortable things she had ever worn.
