A/N : hi ! so, I kind of promised you guys a chapter every day, and surprisingly I'm coming along pretty well tbh, lol !

this was originally going to be split into two chapters, but I decided against it because I really wanted to start making each chapter longer, at least 1,000 words.

thank you to the sweet people who have been adding this story to their reading lists, voting, and just everyone reading this in general. you have no idea how happy it makes me to see you enjoy reading this story as much as I enjoy writting this !

I hope you enjoy this one, I personally thought of it as sweet, but let me know what you think !!

Another day, another Eras show. Repetitive, a bit, I know. But I loved it.

I was sitting in my dressing room, a few hours before I had to start getting ready. I was listening to some music when all of a sudden, my phone started ringing.

It was Keleigh Teller, and I truly do like her, we're good friends, but not particularly close. So it's a bit surprising to get a call from her randomly. But I obviously pick up anyways.

"Keleigh, hi.." I answer.

"Taylor ! I'm so glad you answered, I need to tell you something !"

Oh.

"Oh, um, sure, I'll bite. What's up ?"

"So, to cut it short, this super hot football player put you on blast on his and his brother's podcast, saying he wanted to give you his number through a bracelet, and people are freaking out." She explained in a hyper tone.

"Wait, who ? I'm sorry, I don't really get into the whole lore of football."

"Travis Kelce, Chiefs player. Listen, I have to go, I'll text you. Look him up." Keleigh rushed.

"Okay, thank you, bye." I hung up, a bit shaken up by the whole thing.

She wasn't lying, he did put me on blast on his podcast. Metal as hell, I know.

And boy was he hot.

I couldn't be doing shit like this, or during these times. I was getting burnt by the internet for the last man I dated. God, there was even a fucking fan projectpractically begging me to end things with him. How do I know this one won't end that same way ? Yeah, no thank you.

But he seemed nice.

But that's what I said last time.

But maybe this one could be it.

But it's whatever, I have a show in a few hours, and I should just be focusing on that. Not on some stupid womanizer who probably does this every 3-5 business days.

Right ?

A few days later, I still couldn't get that man off my mind. No matter what I did.

After a few days of contemplating it far more, I decided I'd just go for it. They'll crucify me anyway, it doesn't matter if I'm even dating someone.

So here I was, texting Tree for his number at 8:03 PM. It was a random Thursday night, quite a while after I found out about the whole thing. It was so, so out of the blue. So unlike me. But I did it anyway.

Tree: Hey Taylor, the whole Travis Kelce thing is blowing up on Twitter, I'm not sure if you've seen. A few dating rumors have started, want me to say anything ?
